not sure if this wheel cakes were inspired by Japan or somewhere else in Asia, but the dough was too chewy and the Azuki bean paste wasn’t sweet enough. It didn’t taste anything.

Very bad experience! This is the first time I have encountered such a bad service attitude from a short-haired Chinese service staff in London. I bought 4 wheel cakes and went to pick them up 5 minutes later. When she gave me the wheel cakes, she didn’t say a word and just gave them to me. At that time, she felt that her attitude was very rude. Then I ate while walking, and when I got to the market entrance, within two minutes I was about to take a photo of the wheel cakes, and found that they gave me one less. So when I went back and told her, she actually said that I didn't check in advance. No apology at all! Haha ?I really thank you. Do I need to check in person to buy a wheel cake? ? How delicious do you think your wheel cake is? Do I need one more? If you think of others like this, your morals are really shameful. Will never come again next time. that's all

I tried their Taiwanese pancake with tea at brunch time Its a small stall in Old Spitalfields Market. The sight of them preparing multiple circular cakes feels like an artist at work, but that's about it. I ordered the Salted Caramel Limited Edition Wheelcake, Unfortunately, it was one of worst desserts in my life. No taste of Caramel, undercooked slimy puck they served me reminded me that in an Instagram, FB driven world, some smart moves can bring customers and throw the actual quality in background.

Both chocolate and matcha are delicious! Especially like chocolate! The heart is hot, bite into it and the sauce will burst into your heart. You can also buy Taiwanese drinks!

The proportion of the wheel cake's crust is wrong, it's too soft and rotten. It's very different from what I had in Taiwan. I don't recommend it...

Got a total of 10 wheelcakes to share between my family and I, we had different flavours but they gave us the wrong ones, it wasn’t busy either as it was Tuesday afternoon. Some of the wheelcakes were not fresh. For the price, the wheelcakes are quite small, I’d rather go somewhere else.

Wheelcakes are delicious, but service is always awful! Very rude & wait times of 15 minutes+Other options in the market that know how to treat customers and prepare ahead of time.

Had my first wheelcake today and it was amazing! Freshly made and was so warm and tasty. Really reasonable price and portion and the ladies were friendly and welcoming. I look forward to having this again!

We had a chocolate custard wheel cake. Was nice, warm and gooey. Will go again.
Definitely worth a try ✅ if you’ve never had one and true-to-memory if you’re a wheelcake fan.Wheelcakes (車輪餅) are a dessert made from a fluffy pancake-like batter, cooked in cast iron pans, with a creamy filling inside. ??Price: £10 for 4 which I’d recommend so you can sample the different custard flavours!☑️ They’re made freshly, on-site, so the custard filling is hot when you get them.⏰ Waiting time: Being freshly-made does mean that you may have to wait around 10min for your order depending how busy they are—but it’s well worth it and there’s so much to see at Old Spitalfields Market while you wait. You’ll get a ticket number ? so you can come back and collect your order.Menu: The wheelcakes come in a variety of flavours. Vanilla custard is the golden standard ? but I also tried: the ? matcha, azuki bean and chocolate ? (my favourites are in that order too but it’s definitely down to personal flavour preference).Wheelcakes are each marked with a symbol ? so you know which one you’re eating (image added for reference).I’ll definitely be back!

Stopped here due to my friend asking me to get her some of the wheel cakes to try, and out of curiosity I decided to try one myself too! Before buying I asked if they could be reheated as my friend wanted to try them warm, and conveniently they have a card advising how they should be stored and reheated if necessary which I found super helpful! As for the cake, I tried the matcha one. It was served hot and although I enjoyed it I feel the flavour wasn't as strong as I would have liked. I can't say for the other flavours!

It's alright. Nothing too great. If you like pancake then you will like this too, as the kind of batter they use is similar in texture and taste to the batter used for pancakes. This just wasn't for me.We ordered the chocolate with custard filling and boy was it scalding hot on the inside. Just be careful when you eat one.

Had the matcha wheelcake. It was not very sweet which is something I liked. Dough was very good. Enjoyed it with a chai (Chai guys are next to it). Fast service.

Yum wheel cakes!! We got the matcha, custard and adzuki as well as a rose milk tea. The matcha has to be my favourite!! So creamy
