Food isn’t bad, but not great. Nothing special. Price is high. Not my type of food.

I really like Zaza's; they are clean, hygienic, and usually offer fresh and tasty food, in varying degrees of spiciness. Great local lunchtime option for weekdays and always have a weekday special, with generous portions. Great service as well, always polite. I did however get overcharged a few times. Also does a rich, silky, handmade masala chai.Kid-friendliness: Spaced out seats, can bring children or pushchairs.Dietary restrictions: Good halal food, they have vegetarian options in their deli counter.

Came here for Sunday lunch. Ordered shish kebab, lamb biryani, garlic naan and butter chicken. Food was tasty although Tayyabs Kebabs are better. But they also sent us 2 cheese naans which we never ordered and suggested these were complementary for us to try. When we got the bill we were charged an extra £8 for this.Leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Won't be coming back.

Was quiet for a Friday evening. We ordered a mix grill and the meats was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious.

Favourite local restaurant. Always serves the freshest food. The grills are very tasty. Customer service is very friendly. Restaurant is very clean including toilet facilities. Its a very lovely relaxing restaurant. I've been here over 5 times in the past 6 months. Probably my visit will increase. Top quality food that doesn't break your bank. Definitely one of the best in this area.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I work nearby and I came here for some lasagne. I had a hour journey home and the food here gave me a horrible stomach ache, it was the most uncomfortable journey of my life back. I have never felt like this before, I feel physically sick and my stomach clearly didn’t agree with the food. The spices in the lasagne were rancid - didn’t think lasagna would taste like that, however as I didn’t want to waste it & I carried on eating it. I will never go here again. Maybe best suited for those who live in Tower Hamlets. Not up to my acquired taste sorry - never again!

Today I booked a table here for iftari with my family. I paid £18 each person for food that isn't even worth a penny! This was the most disgusting food I have ever had. Totally ruined my iftari! Food was undercooked and freezing cold! Run by people who don't even know what they're doing. Warm soft drinks and hardly any variety! There was more people than there was space for very unorganised! People usually drink cold drinks and warm food here I got totally the opposite cold food warm drinks! I told them the drinks are warm they said we have ran out of cold drinks! After spending so much money I'm very upset with the service I got! Never again! In the end I had to feed my family McDonald's....SHAME!

Visited this restaurant a couple of days ago and was very excited to try out all the different masala dishes, from lamb chop masala/curry to butter chicken, however I was frankly disappointed, firstly, the butter chicken did not have any sort of buttery flavour so it just tasted like chicken curry which i was not expecting, secondly, the lamb chop masala/curry was one of the worst lamb chop masala dishes I have ever tasted, the lamb was chewy and did not bode well with the flavour of the masala. However on a more positive note, the chicken tikka was phenomenal, it was juicy and tender and kind of just melted in your mouth and the naan has got to be the best naan around in London, it was buttery, soft and freshly made, it was absolutely mouthwatering!, bar these two starters I have to say I was very disappointed in Zaza’s overall food and would not recommend visiting in the near future.

We go very often and always love the food. We love the prawn curry, masala fish, kebabs, and paneer tikka.....and lots more. They sometimes have parties on the weekend, check before you ho as on these nights the service can be slower and also the food quality goes down a little for other customers, who are not part of the party, when there's a party. But I would highly recommend as the food (on a non party night) is just delicious and nice staff. It's def our favourite restuarant in Whitechapel by FAR. It's changed names and is called Zaika now.

Staff are very friendly. They are fully dedicated to customer service, always willing to go the extra mile.Their hot chocolate is phenomenal and their tea is one of the best if not the best in East London.

I had my sons nikah party there for 45 people on Friday evening. In such a short notice I booked the place and food. The food was freshly cooked on the day and everything looked and tasted beyond my expectation. Service was fantastic perfect venue for small events, very spacious and friendly staff. I’d defiantly recommend to try it your self all my guest was happy with the food served and the service given was outstanding. Thank you for great service.

Very welcoming staff and a lovely decor to the place. The ambience in the place is spot on. The whole Grilled chicken I ordered was brilliant. I ordered another dish but the chicken wasn't cooked properly, they apologised and did not charge me for it. Lovely little restaurant you can take your family or Mrs for a meal. Well done lads ?

Went to do a client birthday setup.. I would say the new management is by far my favourite! Excellent team work. And yes my sons had a quick bite to eat and they really enjoyed the biryani!

This is my second visit to Zaza's and my first visit under the new management. As you would expect with any new establishment under new management, they are still trying to find their feet and will have some teething issues. The waiters were helpful and friendly and service was good, but service can be a bit slow. Also, the cutlery and the glasses and water jugs were oily and needed a good clean.Saying that, Raza (one of the new owners) was very welcoming and made every effort to make us feel welcome. The menu is too large and you have too many choices - Raza helped us choose a couple of dishes, which were absolutely spot on. The Karahi Saag Chicken (Spinach) and the Karahi Bhindi Gosht (Okra) were not only tasty, but had a great balance between fragrant and spice. The portion sizes are very generous and we over ordered, which they were more than happy to pack for us to take away. The naan and roti were excellent and piping hot fresh from the oven. The quality and portion sizes are great and reasonably priced and good value in my opinion. The only downside were the toilets which were in a bad state and not very clean, which they said they are in the process of fixing. Also, the music can be a bit too loud and it gets very smoky at times. These things can be easily fixed and when they do, they will have a very good establishment.
