This is my experience after visiting the place with my group of friends. The waiter, who was probably new ( at least I hope ), was very distracted and made several mistakes while taking orders and making the receipt. I don’t want to blame him for his inexperience, but if that was the case, he should have had help from a colleague. The place was dirty, and one of my friends placed his jacket behind the sofa, causing a cloud of dust to fly up. We brought the problem to the attention of the owner, as it seems right that he should be aware of the bad experience his almost regular customers have had. It was traumatic, and he started to deflect the conversation, saying that it is difficult to hire Italian staff, blaming Brexit, etc., without really apologizing for what happened. After spending £400 on 7 pizzas and 3 appetizers and having our experience ruined, I think the minimum would have been an apology or even better, a symbolic coffee offered by him. Of course, it didn’t happen. Honestly, paying £50 for a pizza is not cheap, and if it weren’t for the negative experience that can happen, I would definitely have returned to both Baker Street and the Soho pizzeria. But because of the owner’s lack of apology and basically didn’t care for his guests, which I believe is the minimum, I don’t think it makes sense for me to eat there anymore. Positive things: we been also served by other 2 waiters on the same night and they were kind and really professional Pizza: Is decent but is not really the in the best 20 napoletan pizza you can eat in London

I tried this restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The food was tasty, but the portions were small, and the prices were high. The service was terrible, with the waiter even asleep. There were mistakes both in the order and the billing, and despite complaining to the owner, he seemed uninterested. Moreover, we had to pay the service charge despite the subpar service. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Sadly disappointing experience today. I have been about 20 times at this place and always had a great pizza - margarita. I brought my friends, family and clients to enjoy a truly Italian pizza from Napoli. Today I did give my feedback which was ignored. Pizza was dry and not juicy as always. Simply disappointing. I usually recommend this place as one of the best in London. I hope you can improve the quality and pizza will be as good as ever! And you won’t turn to another tourist place.

Went on the basis of an independent review claiming it was one of the best pizzas in London. Far from it. It was 5pm on a cold Tuesday so not many people in the place, none in fact. Pizza was huge and overhung the plate, and looked great when it arrived, base and tomato sauce were good and. thats where it stopped. The cheese was cheap and soon congealed, hardly any nduja and something called rolled bacon turned out to be wafer thin slices of slimy raw bacon. I had to send it back so they could crisp up the bacon and that came back nice and tasty. For £19 for the pizza I felt it was too expensive for the quality. Another annoying thing was , I presume the owner, pacing around the empty restaurant for the whole hour I was in the place talking Italian very loudly. Sorry guys I wont be rushing back

I stopped by for a late night snack before heading home. I ordered the diavlo, the Pizza was excellent, service was fast and friendly.

Out in London and we wanted to go a on date night, after strolling up & down on which place to choose, unfortunately our pick was this restaurant.. where once you go in they sit you down in the most uncomfortable, noisy place next to an open door, even after I asked that we would like to go sit further inside of the restaurant and he said No, but we didnt let that bother us.. then you have new customers coming in who are allowed to go and sit in the part that was apparently full 2 minutes before .. then you have rude staff assuming you don’t understand Italian, unfortunately for them I do as I have Sicilian roots & they talk about you for “taking too long to order” Food came & to be fair the was delicious. Once I finished my main, my girlfriend was still eating her pizza and a waiter immediately comes to remove my plate and I politely told him not too, but he did it anyway. Its a shame the staff let this place down as it was not what we hoped for.

The first sign was when we walked in and were directed to a table, I said “Grazie” and the guy did not respond with “Prego”. We’ve eaten in more Italian restaurants than I could count, and this felt a bit strange to me. We were then stuffed into the back of the restaurant in between two tables, they had empty tables elsewhere and the whole upstairs was also empty. We ordered garlic Foccacia. What came was a piece of cooked dough with whole garlic cloves thrown on with some oil. It was like a pancake in thickness, not what you’d expect at all. I had to brush off the cloves in order to eat it. Next we both ordered the truffle pasta. This was one of the reasons we went as we were celebrating so wanted a nice treat. What came was semi warm, stiff ravioli coated in a thick, greasy, sauce with not shaved truffle but actual chunks of hard truffle. My husband could not finish his. The toilets were upstairs and the women’s was quite grotty and could do with some improvements, plus the door was hard to lock and I was then almost locked in. This is when I saw the whole upstairs was empty. The place had a really weird vibe and all of the waiting on staff just congregated near the front so you have to go through them all to get in and out. It was quite intimidating and the main reason why we didn’t complain as it felt like it could have turned quite quickly. They also add a 12.5% service charge on, just don’t go to this place! It’s not authentic, far from Italian and an overpriced tourist trap.

Nice proper Italian restaurant in Central London. A bit expensive though. We wanted to try pasta but the had a problem with the kitchen the day we went. The margarita pizza was so tasty.

We made a stop here for a pre theatre dinner. We have been to the L'Antica Pizzeria da San Michele in Los Angeles multiple times. This location does not have anywhere near as large a menu as the Los Angeles location. While I don't think the food is as high quality as the Los Angeles location, it was still a good solid Neopolitan style pizza. I enjoyed the pizza much more than my husband did but I also like pizza much more than he does. It was a pretty good spot to grab a pizza and drinks before we went to the theatre.

We stopped by for pizza, very disappointed with the results. Bland tasteless overpriced food. The pizza was very sloppy and wet from the very thin pale looking tomato sauce. Very odd atmosphere in the restaurant, with a staff member smoking near the doorway. Not what you want to smell going in and out of the restaurant. The bill came to £55 for two pizzas, 1 water and 2 diet cokes.

Horrible service, was almost impossible to get the attention of the waiting staff even though they were standing around doing nothing. Got the order wrong and still charged us for dishes we didn’t order. Refused to remove the “optional tip” which we refused to pay due to the diabolical time we had there. Do not go!

Could only eat outside as we had a dog with us, which was fine. My calzone was OK, but too much ricotta in it, so it was pretty much all I could taste. My wife enjoyed her pizza. Service good, until it came to bill paying time when we were asked if we wanted a limoncello to end the meal. I said no but my wife said yes, and they made great play of bringing her a double measure. Then the bill comes and they've charged us £7.50 for it as well as 12.5% service charge. To be fair, at no point did they say the limoncello was free, but we have eaten in Italian restaurants many, many times and have never before been charged for an offered limoncello. I suspect it's a well tried tourist trap, given that a whole bottle is about £6 at Tesco's. We probably wouldn't have gone back anyway because the food wasn't great, but it certainly made our minds up.

David Portnoy would give 2.3. I might do less. Poor service, food was poorly made. Not sure if it was because we were taking to go, however it seems as if they purposely made the food not well. No value, would not return, many other great places to eat.

I've been here over 10 times. The pizza is great but not as good as the Stoke Newington l'antica. If they could just bring up all the other standards it would be amazing. The toilets always stink. Never look clean. I hate touching sticky menus. Why can't they be cleaned whilst waiters are sitting around? Lose the fake dirty flowers upstairs covered in dust. Add some pictures and lose the white walls and inject some character. They're looking pepes across ten road closed because Although pizza want as good (pasta was better) you felt like you were in a rustic cool spot. The above standards are basic for a restaurant and can't fathom why they don't fix up.
