I came in here joyful at the fact there was fresh spaghetti, i ordered this and waited approximately 45 minutes for my food. To my disappointment i was served with noodles. Similar to pot noodles. I never knew fresh spaghetti translated to noodles. I could have got this meal at tesco for £2.50, instead i paid around £15. It wasn’t even tomato sauce. The beef was also very fatty.I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this place if you want ‘fresh’ spaghetti. In fairness they adjusted the price for compensation. The bare minimum they could.

We live locally and have been visiting the Lighthouse for over 20 years, we have always rated it very highly however standards appear to have slipped. Firstly we were not given the wonderful home made breads with dipping oils, these are now chargeable. The menu was as varied and interesting as ever and I ordered the venison which was excellent however the vegetables were lukewarm. The chocolate bread and butter pudding would have been a triumph had it not been cold in the middle. I sent it back and it was returned only slightly warmer. Lastly a waitress brought 2 glasses of red wine to our table which were not ordered by us (we already had a bottle). When the bill came we had been charged for them. The charge was removed after we queried it but no apology was made.

My wife and I like to go here the rare times that we have baby sitters. Food and service has so far been good the few times we have been. For us, the prices are special occasion prices, not, can't be bothered cooking prices, but definitely a good choice for date night.

The place was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the staff were very welcoming.A huge appeal to me is when the food you see on Instagram actually looks the same in person and it absolutely did. The sole, the sea bass and the risotto were all delicious. The sauce on the sole was a particular favourite. The pork belly was also delicious and an extremely generous portion (see my photo!). I have to say the bread was some of the best restaurant bread I've had in a while and a couple of us couldn't stop eating it!We were there the same time as a large Christmas party and our waitress was so sweet to apologise for the noise and big group around us...which didn't bother us at all but it was very thoughtful of them to mention it. We also had a buggy and there was no issue calling to get a corner table to have a bit more space. To top it off, they rushed to open the double doors for us to help with the pram. Fantastic customer service all around!

The yellow curry coconut mussels in the starter are particularly recommended! The yellow curry is rich in flavor, slightly sweet, and the mussel is very fresh and meaty!
