Poor customer service. I just purchased a gift box from here and I was quite surprised how disappointing the service was. It’s clear that the staff judge you by how you dress! I was in sports gear on my way from the gym and the staff completely ignored me. No one approached to ask if I needed help, no one said hello. Interestingly another woman came in and straight away the staff acknowledged here. It’s really sad that in this day and age shops feel they can be so snobby and judge your purchasing power by superficial things like looks.The woman who was at the till took ages to ring my item up with no apology for the delay.If I didn’t need to get a present in a rush, I would have just left. I will not be coming here again. The staff need to get some training in manners and service.

So glad that I chose Whittard’s to purchase my Nanny’s 90th birthday gift of a coffee and biscuit set - the whole experience of shopping in branch shows exactly why shopping on the high street is so important.

Honestly you do great stuff but I travelled 45 minutes to buy a gift to find you were closed. I had checked your official website and your google page prior to starting my journey: it stated you were open till 17:00 today. So I just wasted 1 hour and 30 minutes to be disappointed to find you closed. I’m sure you had your reasons but they weren’t comminuted and I saw others by the door as confused as me. That’s pretty poor to say the least.

Having never really used loose leaf tea before I was not sure where to even start when walking into the shop..... Well that all changed when George approached me. He was so helpful and friendly, really made the journey into loose leaf tea pleasant and exciting. I left with a few new teas to try, and I love all of them (Chelsea Breakfast, 1886, Blueberry Rooibos) as well as some of their hot chocolate. All in all a great experience. Thank you George!
