The atmosphere and staff were nice. The food was good with the exception of the beef sausage in the English breakfast, as they were a little under seasoned.

Sorry to say, I think it was the worst breakfast/brunch I ever had.If you go as 3 people or more you'll be waiting outside until a table is free. The tables don't get cleaned and they just seat you.The plates are dark, like black or navy blue colour, but you can tell its dirty.I paid £18.50 for a full English and a bottle of still water. They forgot to give me my turkey rashers and then gave it later when I mentioned it to one of the staff, although I said I don't want it anymore. The sausages tasted so horrible I couldn't believe it, I got pouched eggs but was soo disappointed they go on about how organic it is, and that one bread they state where its from, as if its a gem, it ain't anything special at all.I read other peoples negative reviews after I went there, and I can see how true it all is.Honestly go anywhere else but here, it's over rated!

This gem of a cafe is a great breakfast option if your close to the area. The smiling chef from senagal who makes the food always heightens the experience, with his energy.?Watch the FULL VIDEO on EAT PINOY YouTube CHANNELhttps://youtu.be/6uZU8JODBlIExpect queues if not coming early, as portion size and that French Toast is what has got people coming early. Single and couple Seating is tight but they have some seating for a couple of larger groups.Full English Halal breakfast is definitely one to get, along with Pancakes and French Toast. Avocado salmon and toast is also nice, so you're spoil for choice for a satisfying brunch or breakfast.Dietary restrictions: Halal menuParking: No parking outside as it is on a main roadKid-friendliness: Some seating for families

Great service, top-quality coffee! The only real disappointment was the turkey bacon. If i would have known it was turkey bacon i would have ordered something else. But great if you follow a halal diet.

The coffee at this breakfast spot is truly spectacular, delivering a rich and robust flavor that perfectly complements the delightful menu. The French toast is a heavenly blend of sweetness and fluffiness, while the chicken jerk burger packs a flavorful punch. The pancakes are a must-try, light and fluffy. Overall, a delightful culinary experience that I highly recommend – a perfect start to your day!

There was a wait about 20-30mins outside, but I was told that's normal. And after we were seated, the queue actually got longer than when we were in it.We had veggie breakfast was a good portion and better than expected. Mushrooms and tomatoes were well seasoned.French toast was one of the best I've had. Good portion enough to share if you're not eating alone. Caramelised sugar on top, which adds a whole new deliciousness, glad there wasn't any Nutella it was really good with just maple syrup and cream.Vegetarian options: Veggie breakfast, French toast, egg and spinach benedict.

Grounded’s expanded second site on Bow Road is just lovely! I’ve watched what was an abandoned bank building next to Bow Church DLR become a beautiful cafe, so welcome in the area. I regularly walk past the Whitechapel branch and it’s always got a massive queue outside because the food is good but the space is small - the larger site is perfect, things feel less frenetic and rushed, the decor is relaxing and the food is excellent. Great vegan options (I had the pancakes) - a perfect place to meet up with friends for a coffee.

No queue if you come before 9 am. French toast was heavenly and coffee was good. The service was friendly and prompt.

GROUNDED- ALGATE BRANCHLovely cosy branch of the Grounded. We went on a Saturday, therefore there was a half and hour wait to be seated. The food was excellent. We all ordered breakfast which all came piping hot and everything tasted fresh and well balanced. The coffees all tasted good, however could do with being made to a higher temperature, as they were only warm when brought to our table. The pricing is a little on the higher end depending on what is being ordered. The location is very tight on space, but we were never made to feel rushed or that we needed to leave as soon as we finished eating. The servers were excellent, polite, friendly and attentive.Very good experience, worth a visit.

The decor and atmosphere it creates is top notch and makes dining here a nice memorable experience. I would say it ranks top for halal venues I have visited (which probably aren't very many) and is already a favourite for me. I like the open kitchen and it is clear that a lot of thought as gone into every detail of this restaurant. We only tried all the desserts on the menu as well as turmeric and beetroot lattes, but everything was enjoyable and well presented. The staff are very friendly, helpful and responsive. Can't wait to visit again soon and try some of the other things on the menu.

This restaurant was trending on social media so I decided to give it a try. It was indeed very good and I appreciated a good English halal brunch in London. However, it’s difficult for big groups (more than 2 people) to eat there during busy times because the seating area can only handle two people at a time, despite having a few tables for larger groups. You will have to wait for them to finish, in a queue outside, and the waiting time can reach 30 minutes (or more). My suggestion would be to go in groups of two.

TIP #1: The pizza place Circle & Slice next door is owned by the same business and they are more than happy to serve your Grounded breakfast/brunch there. Consider that if you want to skip the queue.TIP #2: Factor in waiting time in a queue at the door. This place is usually packed for breakfast and brunch

The breakfast platter was pretty good. The sausage was a bit unseasoned, but maybe that's just how English people have their sausage. For the price, the amount of food we were served was very reasonable. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

A great brunch place with really decent food, though do keep in mind that you may have to queue. I got the omelette and my friend got the French toast. Both were delectable, but the French toast really takes the cake for the soft brioche and the diverse range of fruits. However, the matcha latte was rather gritty and coarse. In terms of taste it definitely isn't the worst I've tried, but the quality certainly can be improved.
