Pizza Express

Yesterday I ate at Pizza Express Muswell Hill and I got food poisoning. I am certain it was the pizza and nothing else I ate that day. Sleepless night throwing up the mushroom pizza. I only ate a little bit as it didn’t taste right from the start, but looks like it was enough to poison me. Tried calling several times to tell them they should check their ingredients but no one picked up.

We had the vegetarian pizza and it was delicious. Thanks.

The workers there some don’t speak English well so yeah but the pizza is good so I do recommend it

Ordered from Uber because it was half price. This is supposedly a “Large” pizza costing £21.15. It’s not even worth it for half price. It’s just an overrated overpriced average pizza you can get from any chicken shop. I will never buy from here again, when I can spend the same money for a real Italian pizza. This was super disappointing.

Great place, very friendly and helpful staff! Not 5 stars for the atmosphere though as it’s very hot inside on the hot days. There should be an Aircon. If not for the sake of customers at least for the staff! They do their best and they certainly deserve a more comfortable work environment.

Great Service provided. Staff still managed to be very attentive while with a full restaurant.

One of the worst experiences I have had the misfortune to endure at any branch of Pizza Express in all the many years of dining there.

Where to begin?

Service: non-existent and hostile to say the least. Grabbed a take-away, for the second time in a week (as had been obliged to eat out during a kitchen renovation) and was served by the self-same young woman (possibly a manager) who asked, impolitely and abrasively, without so much as a please or thank-you, for 'some space' despite the fact that neither my wife nor I were standing that close to her but trying to give sufficient room behind us and to our sides for enabling customers to walk past, unhindered.

If that wasn't enough, a second server insisted, after we had sat down to wait for our food, to move to a different table; again, this instruction was made without an ounce of warmth, kindness, politeness or anything approaching decency or respect.

Food: Falling way below standard and this seems to be the case across the board with the chain: two pizzas for £30 with a soggy and inedible base each; inadequate portions of ingredients where quality was dreadful; our rocket leaves were wilting and stale; artichokes were tasteless and red onion rings were two to three at most on both pizzas.

All in all, PE need to raise their game if they are to remain in what is an already over-crowed market and if this branch does not improve its appalling treatment of customers I am sure they will soon slide into disappearance.

Judging by the paltry number of people dining in when we were there, this could be coming sooner than they think.

Their attitude needs to be adjusted urgently and some fundamental customer service manners re-instated.

Do yourselves a favour and eat at Bob's in N10 where they know how to treat customers properly and food is infinitely better than what I have experienced - certainly at this poor example of Pizza Express.

I come here regularly with my family and disabled son. Staff are attentive and accommodating to our needs. The food is consistently good. There is always a buzzing atmosphere. As someone who attends pizza express regularly, this one of the best in the country.

Super service from Ioannis, attentive, helpful and so very friendly made the excellent food better.

Deliveroo order cancelled on us after an 80 minute wait. Tried phoning the restaurant 5 times - no response. Horrible service. Take your restaurant off Deliveroo if you're too busy to fulfil during peak hours. 2nd terrible experience in a week.

We ordered 3 pizzas for dinner (delivery).
£55 was taken out of my account. Waited over an hour for the food to be delivered. Tried calling the store. No answer. Nothing.
We never got our dinner!

I ordered pizza and it arrived one hour and half it arrived cold and soggy

The waitress was really pleasant and very helpful. Exceeded expectations. Her name was Melian!

Vegetarian options: The vegan options are extensive

We had Ioannis as our servicer , very sweet and attentive. Food was 10/10 pizzas were amazing
