You get a variety of SriLankan food. From starter to main meal. Very clean and reasonably priced.

It would be nice if you could bring back the lamprais in banana leaf again instead serving it in a box. It’s unfortunately not the same flavour in a box. The price has also increased from £8.99 to £12.99 which is the cost of an average sit down meal at a restaurant but this is take away? It’s unfortunately no longer priced competitively. The serving of masala tea (traditional Tamil tea) in the afternoons has also stopped now. I remember you serving it at least until 7pm for years. Instead you only have the standard breakfast tea now, which anyone can quickly make at home or get from other outlets. Please bring back the lamprais in banana leaf, price it more competitively and bring back the masala tea in the afternoons - I will be a happy customer again if you do that :)

The food here is amazing. I've been coming here for ages. I'm a Malaysian South Indian and some of the dishes cooked here are exactly how my mum or grandmother would cook it. I always have trouble choosing my dishes, and when they have crabs dishes, I'm over the moon. Bonus is they also do all the breakfast items like thosai, appam (which always sells out fast), puttu, itali, string hoppers. For those criticizing, you've got to heat it up when you get home, come on, it's a takeaway and it's good value for money, what do you expect? The people serving the food are always going as quick as they can and are helpful. Thank you, Sambal!

Food here is amazing and I have always enjoyed coming here for The vegetarian snacks and mutton rolls etc for family. But the team serving used to be great in that vegetarian green tongs would not be mixed with the red non veg tongs! Today as I watched in the queue every single member mixed the spoons and tongs with veg and non veg!If you are a strict vegetarian then I DO NOT recommend this place! Service and cleanliness and attention to this detail has gone down hill!

I use sambal regularly for a combination of good flavours and good value, I don't mind that the food needs reheating as generally items are nice. It concerned me that for years I've been asking for a mild mutton curry and seemingly getting that instead of the spicy version but today I was told by the lady we don't do a mild mutton curry and never have?! I'd appreciate a little more clarity in providing descriptions for dishes myself, some labels would be helpful with spiciness rating maybe.
Sambal is a chain that can be found across London. Food is competitively priced and the model of the business operation is great. On the flip side don't expect top quality restaurant taste as they run it almost like a factory. Absolutely great for short eats and take away for a night in.

First visit Mutton rolls. Fish cutlets. Seeni sambal Coconut sambal wattilapung. All Just perfect. We travelled up from Horsham inwest sussex a long queue of sri lankans outside shop gave us a clear indication that this was a popular place for Ceylon food (Sri Lankan) I'm old school and upon entering the premises was greeted with the amazing smells that I grew up with in 1960s Ceylon. All the dishes from my childhood. OMG ! I WAS IN HEAVEN..now a firm favourite on my shopping list. Brilliant, my English wife just loved the many dishes on display and the smiling friendly faces of the staff.. Thank you
