I came in with my 3year old Son on a Friday evening last week and politely asked about a takeaway lasagne. I was ignored. I thought no maybe I had read it wrong, so I stood there with my toddler for about 10minutes hoping to be served or spoken to. A white couple came in after us who were immediately seated. I don’t like using the racist card but I was extremely appalled. In the end we went to a lovely Italian restaurant further down the Highstreet who actually treated us like human beings. I wouldn’t recommend.

Defintely avoid this place at all costs!!! Went last night with others and it took forever for someone to come and take our drink orders. We had to go to the manager to ask if someone could take our food order and he was surprised that it had not been taken. 30 minutes later our starters were delivered except those who order buscetta had to wait another 30 minutes until theirs were delivered. The bruscetta was soggy, oil only on the plate and not on the bread and it was cold. After another 30 minutes our mains came out and the pizza was over cooked, unable to be cut even when the manager came over he couldnt cut it and decided to not charge those who had the pizza, another meal was undercooked. Found out the reason for the delay was the orders from YUber Eats, Just Eat got priority, no non alcholic drinks were served with ice, and it was just a total mess of an evening. Having a large party like ours who would have spent around £500 and it was a booked table you would have thought that we would have been treated a lot better with a waitress dedicated to the table. This was meant to be a special occassion and was totally ruined. Maybe it is a better place to go mid week when it is a lott quieter???

I've been a loyal customer of this restaurant and have always enjoyed their pizzas, but my recent experience was incredibly disappointing. The pizza I received looked like it was missing a piece, and when I called, the response was disheartening – they claimed there was nothing they could do. I also checked the app I used to order, and to my dismay, there was no option for a refund. As someone who has ordered from this place before, I must say this experience has left me thoroughly disappointed, and I won't be returning.

Excellent food and atmosphere, slightly let down by a hopefully temporary shortage of waiting

Had my second visit to Dolce Italia last night for a celebration and the restaurant was packed and full of a thriving, enjoyable atmosphere. The food was amazing and everyone in the party was in impressed and delighted that we now know this restaurant exists. We will now be regularly visiting this little gem.Thank you for such a great evening.
