Just from a health and safety point of view, having to climb over boxes of food and drink to get into the toilet wasn’t particularly nice. The toilet was filthy, with no toilet paper. The bowl was covered in body hair and human waste, and the floor was puddled with water. Having the food products you’re trying to sell in boxes on the floor directly outside such a hazard didn’t incentivise me to buy anything, so I ended up leaving without a coffee.The cafe area was equally filthy, with people moving used cups and plates to be able to use tables. It just feels like perhaps the team were understaffed and they didn’t have enough time to put a delivery away and tidy up- was surprising to see only two members of staff on a busy afternoon.

Honestly, sometimes it’s just having great staff can make all the difference to one’s experience. Just a standard costa, but the lovely baristas made this visit so much fun. They were fun, friendly and happy to be doing what they were doing! This is a really rare experience, so thank you to the amazing staff at this store for justBrightening up my day with your great attitude towards customers and the service you offer. Costa should give these people a raise or an award or something.

I went there today at around 10:45 am 22 of June 2023 I was very well received by Kachana and her colleague Katrina from Greece. Both were so amazing and helpful. The coffee was so good done by Kachana. Thought trying this Costa,it's first and last time,customer service is very bad, very very slow service, I was waiting more then 10min for double expreso, this is happened because off staff working long time in the some place.

Ordered a few coffees, croissants and other pastries and had my order double checked to make sure it was all correct. Only gripe was that a few coffees were warm rather than hot, but tasted lovely.Seating was available and clean so we enjoyed our drinks and delicious pastries inside. We weren’t rushed to clear the table.Staff were very pleasant and service was fast and orders were accurate.Nice, cosy atmosphere in the store. Would return again.

Yesterday 10/09 I have been with my daughter at Costa cafè at Hatch end, we have been served by Anna, her service was superb, she advice us on which pastry to take (deliciously fresh and warm) she placed the cups in a lovely way on the tray and allow my daughter double serving of cocoa on her milk, she was friendly and corteous, I notice she was extra working as she was completely alone serving all customers, from taking order, payment and serving, she kept smiling to everyone and her service was outstanding, on the back of the bar there was her colleague who was working slowly on something, when there were lots of customers Anna asked for help, but her collegue told her she was busy doing online orders, she did not seem busy, actually she seemed doing things extra slowly, so Anna suddendly had to deal with a long queue of people abou 6/7 at once, she tried to please everyone, she took the orders and payments and ask them to wait to be served, she was extra fast, but she did need help, so she asked again her colleague which finally she agree to help, a man who was waiting his order lost his temperament ans shouted in an offesive way to Anna, poor Anna told him her collegue was dealing with his order, the man did not accept her explanation and went on shouting in extremely rude way to Anna, in all this her collegue kept silent, while she should have confirmed to that man, she had on board his order, i believe as Anna is very fast and good at making things, while her collegue very slow, this man felt left behind by the behaviour of Anna's collegue, but took forward a complaint on Anna who took his order on a first place. I feel Anna was victimized and treated with unfairness, she should have more help and support by her colleague. I hope the managment of Costa cafè will appreciate her hard work and appreciate her problem solving good attitude, as she tried her best to calm down the gentleman, also i hope they will notice her superb customer service, everyone else was happy!!
