The fish was nice and freshly cooked, although the batter was a little bland. However, the chips were terrible (but generous portion) - they were dry and hard so I suspected they were either frozen or pre-packed fresh, not chipped on site. Disappointing for a "chip shop"

This chip shop used to be so good before it was taken over and from then it’s gone down hill .If you place orders on Just eat they always cancel them so you have to go down The food is over cooked and tastes of old oil. We will not be using them again .

A load of food was received after waiting over 1.5 hours . The fish was decent BUT the chips were like the previous review.,dry,greasy and old,not fresh has the owner described When I called to air my concern,I got lot of excuses,really rude.,no apology . I will never order again from this place.There after spending £17….CHIPS ONLY FIT FOR THE BIN.

Been coming here since we moved into the area.Chips are great. Best to order ahead so you dont have to wait too long.Parking outside which is a big bonus.Reasonably priced too

Absolutely terrible. As an executive chef it’s sometimes nice to have a night off. Just had an order delivered and it’s gone straight in the bin. Pre cooked chips, reheated in old over used oil that arrived tepid at best. A pie in broken packaging which has spent far too long in a warming cabinet resulting in the pastry going rock hard and being inedible. Cod roe cooking in the same old smelly oil used to reheat the chips resulting in them being a dirty brown colour rather than golden. The whole order stank of stale grease. As said, all went in the bin, I won’t make the mistake of ordering from here again. Wouldn’t even let my dogs eat it. Avoid!

Just crusty old skins he gives you such a large bag because no one wants them please take a lesion on how to cook chips you’re selling food to the public go and train and it doesn’t look that clean in there not for meDietary restrictions: Horrible food

Clean shop & friendly staff.Wide menu with mainly fish and chips, but also chicken, wraps, sausages.We ordered and waited 15/20 mins as it was a large order. They made everything fresh and delicious and packed it nicelyAll halal except the Pukka piesHave fizzy drinks & desert like fudge cake, tiramisu and ice-cream.In the evening can park in front of the other shops nearby( which were closed)Vegetarian options: ChipsOnion ringsMozerella sticksKid-friendliness: Kids menuParking: Park outside the parade of shops in the evening or nearby street parking

We go in this chip shop every week and this week 12/11/22 we went into shop to get large cod and regular chips and we got small dried up fish finger and chips . I called the shop and they admitted that the fish wasn't up to standard and they wanted us to nip back and they would do us another fish . I couldn't as my partner can't walk very far . What really hurt is that we go in this shop every week and they serve us not up to standard fish . Next time we go in this shop if it's not up to standard i will not be going in again and complaining . I would of given 0 stars if I could of it was that bad

Have used this place many times but last night, never again!Ordered at 8.30pm with delivery time confirmed 9pm. Called 9.15pm asking where is order to be told it’s just started being cooked and will leave in 10 mins. At 9.45pm was delivered. 45 minutes late.Kebab £7.49 just 3 bits of chicken and wilted lettuce (nothing else, no pitta, no other salad and sauce was missing though was ordered).Wrong drink sent, chips with other meal cold and cheesecake frozen solid. I called again and asked what they thought a kebab should be, he said Chicken and lettuce yeh then said I don’t know I don’t cook the food. Customer service appalling, food worse.New kebab Opened in Old Coulsdon called Kebab Time, they will have our regular business now.
