No need to call it a Arab boy when Arab culture does not have anything to do with alcohol

Great place we went because they had a quiz on. The food was superb well cooked and very good quality. Service was good and very friendly.

If you want a quiet pretty cozy pub this place is perfect. I live locally and ive never seen it crowded. Its perfect for a quiet drink. Some of the small plates are awesome value and really good quality, would highly recommend trying these out.

Actually really lovely food, but the experience was marred by service that was far from polished and pretty chaotic. Eg a lot of dishes were not available, but they should have reprinted the menu or told us on arrival. When it came to ordering dessert about 10-15 minutes after ordering we were told one of our two puddings was unavailable. The other pudding had to be chased up and took took an additional 15-20 mins. Far from brilliant, but my friend enjoyed her roast (which was generous). I liked my small plates and the apple gyoza dessert was yummy when it eventually arrived.

Pretty pub and nice staff. Recommended for a drink. However the food service is not running very well... Some commands were missed and we got the meal after 1h. Also the Sunday roast portions were ridiculously small, definitely not worth 18 quid. In general food portions were not substantial, as usual in pubs, but seriously, avoid ordering a sunday roast if you are hungry. But the food quality is good. Recommended the flatbreads

A nice pub to visit if you fancy a cheeky pint on your own during the week. The staff are lovely and always polite. It’s a very local pub, so I always avoid it during the quiz and would never visit on a weekend. But saying that, a lovely pub, nice food, and lovey decor! All I would say to the brewery would be this: please do something to the bathrooms. Could do with s re-vamp!

Lovely little pub with a really quiet beer garden. A bit of TLC would be nice as the garden feels a little grubby, but nothing a power wash wouldn't sort. Also the parmesan truffle chips only had parmesan on one chip.

Made an impromptu stop for a drink and some food and left overwhelmed by the excellent service. What a charming pub this is!!Had some great value snacks there and when I asked if they had sour cream they actually sent someone to the shop to get some True hospitality, which is often rare in pubs, really made out evening. Huge thanks to Al and the team for making such an effort! Will be seeing you soon for sure!

The pub is named after Yussef Sirrie who was befriended by Henry Scarth in Turkey who founded the pub. Apparently, Scarth saved him from being sold into slavery and brought him to England around 1843 when the pub was established.

Great pub, just let down by expensive prices similar to central London whilst being out of it.

First time visiting this little gem in the not so busy part of Putney high street. This place is small, cosy and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere.I have been meaning to come here for a while and glad I finally was close enough to do so.We were hungry and fancied a Sunday roast to my surprise I noticed they do offer it on Sundays between 12-8pm.We ordered the leg of lamb from the menu as our choice. X2 adult sizes and x2 children sizes. It was very well presented and looked good on the plate. But the only downside was that the lamb pieces were mainly all fat. There wasn't enough meat to actually eat and enjoy properly. Most part of my lamb was actually undercooked and even red and raw and didn't have a good smell. The trimmings were all nice and tasty and fresh for sure.Due to the fact of being very hungry having just finished swimming across the road I ate what I could from the meat with the sides and became full.Bearing in mind that I was also feeding my two little ones who were also very hungry before myself.I would have complained straight away had it not been my children being tired and wanting to eat something before going home to rest.I must admit I was expecting more from this roast but I was disappointed that this experience made me feel like if I were to return I wouldn't risk ordering food any more.Maybe only drink's because we did really enjoy the setting and outdoor secret garden. The girl who served me at the bar today was helpful, professional and polite just as shame I didn't catch her name. She was apologetic and friendly and she would be one reason I do hope to go back for a drink at some point.
