Yesterday afternoon at around 3 o'clock, I inexplicably experienced racial discrimination from the store staff. As my English is not fluent, I initially asked a female staff member about Costa's membership card, but she did not assist me and directed me to the front desk. Upon approaching the front desk, the staff there immediately told me, "He's here." I acknowledged and continued to ask my question. However, he claimed not to understand, so I sat at a table. Another staff member approached, stating that I needed to purchase coffee to sit there. I agreed, explaining that I was waiting for a friend who could help me inquire further. Shortly after, the staff approached twice more insisting I buy coffee. I assured them of my intention to purchase and noted the presence of other customers. I also promised to order once my friend arrived. At this point, a male staff member accused me of being rude. I felt discriminated against, as I hadn't said anything to provoke such a reaction. I asked about the café's rules, highlighting that I hadn't used the restroom, disturbed others, and was simply waiting for my friend. The staff's rejection escalated, with threats to involve the police. I agreed to wait, but they insisted I leave. I moved to the entrance, and they continued urging me to depart. I wonder, is Costa suggesting that the police manage how consumers buy coffee, or is this a deliberate act of racial discrimination?

I went into costa today to see if they had a first aid kit as my sister feel over and was bleeding and there was a lovley employee who helped us and gave us a wipe and plaster for her and was very polite and helpful. Thank you to that employee he really helped us and made my sister feel better. Lovley to see there are still helpful and kind people around! x

Been twice, and both times I've been given lukewarm "iced" coffees. Just because you put ice in a drink doesn't instantly make it cold for the customer. Shame since the workers are quite friendly.

Staff are so friendly and welcoming, and the service is quick. It's a Costa so you know what you're getting in terms of drinks/decor, it's the staff that make this a place we come back to every time!

Great staff, made you feel at ease and I was promised by the friendly young man who made my Carmel Latte who said it's going to be the best one I've ever tasted and believe me. I've had a few lately. Yeah it was the Caramel Latte I have ever tasted. He wasn't kidding and then he was helpful too, found me a spot to finish my Latte inside, althoughVegetarian options: Soya Milk, Gluten FreeWheelchair accessibility: Open plan sort, large entrance and exit door, flat to the surface of the out pavement.

Great Costa, lots of space and not many people. Very quiet and peaceful. Could be a little cleaner especially in the bathrooms. No tissues around the cafe unless you ask. The bathrooms didn't have much soap and the dispenser is so low, it's almost touching the sink, so it's a bit tricky to get your hand under it.
