If has been several years since visiting this particular restaurant. As with most Pizza express restaurants the food is good unfortunately the service, on this occasion was poor! It took a very long time between courses and the table being cleared. People were waiting so long to be seated that they were leaving! It wasn’t particularly busy so overall a bit disappointing!

I would highly recommend pizza express romford for kid’s birthday parties. We had our daughter’s 9th birthday party at this restaurant and I must say the staff were amazing. Special thanks to ‘WIN’ who actually was the winner of the day for me. He was very calm throughout the party and did his job perfectly. He not only made the kids comfortable but also us parents. All the children were so happy during and after the party. Thank you so much Win and Pizza Express Romford for making our daughter’s birthday party a memorable one.Dietary restrictions: Win was very careful with regards to each child’s dietary needs.Kid-friendliness: Perfect for kids

Yesterday, on Sunday 10th December, I visited your shop in the shopping centre in Romford with my family. There were only a few tables with people already eating. However, the table we were invited to sit at was extremely wet. I asked the waitress for something to dry it, but she replied, "It's only water." I found her response quite unprofessional and inappropriate.After waiting for 25 minutes, no one came to take our order for drinks or food. My kids were restless and running around, so I decided to take them to the nearest restaurant next door to have a meal. That turned out to be a good decision, and we enjoyed our meal there.I'm disappointed with the unsatisfactory service at your PizzaExpress shop. I would like you to pass on this feedback to the management and ask for an explanation for this poor experience.****This is a replay to your response;I have noticed that you have a standard, boring reply for all negative feedback. It seems like you receive negative feedback regularly. Have you thought about why that is? What steps are you taking to improve? Please stop sending copy-and-paste answers in response to poor scores. 15/12/23 - Family evening out for Christmas, was greeted well and given menus but not the festive one, when we asked for this server didn’t know anything about! Went of to find out but he did not promote very well. once we had menus we ordered but was told there was not pigs in blankets as the restaurant only had 3 packs for a week and therefore unable to provide - not very good if promotion for festive season! Then the sever decided to tell us that he has 2 jobs and was not upto date with the current promotions- when you go out you expect the current promotions to be available. Also the aubergine bake was enough for a starter not a main meal. Very disappointing experience and for a Friday evening there was only about 10 people there - not a place I would recommend

Asked for the festive menus and server didn’t know there was one, then looked at board outside then checked and said that he had 2 jobs and therefore wasn’t up to date with the menu’s. We got the menus but he didn’t really promote and when we went to order some of the items were kept back for Christmas week and therefore off the menu. The aubergine bake main was like a starter very poor portion for the price. Overall not really worth the price and there are other restaurants that other the same at a more reasonable price

Hi, I was very disappointed today when me with my 3 kids and my friends with their twins couldn't get a table for us. The waiter ask if we have a booking but we didn't have as it was just after 6pm and wasn't busy at all . We want to just pop to have a pizza. Only few tables inside were full. Top level and tables in the front were totally empty. Waiter ask menager about table for us but she refused. It was discrimination behaviour for normal family with kids. I will never forget the manager's face. It's just the lazy staff who don't want to serve the families. Big shame for the company to employ people like this.Ewa

The food was great for starters I had garlic bread and my partner had the Calamari then for the mains my partner had pasta and I had the grand chicken caesar salad. Which was lovely I would definitely recommend. There was a bit of a wait time even though it wasn't busy there was only 6 of us in the restaurant. And we didn't receive our drinks until the main course as they forgot. But all in all the staff were lovely and very friendly and the food was excellent we will be coming back again

We booked a table for 11 for my sons birthday, the food and atmosphere was amazing and the staff were very attentive to the kids. Wan was excellent and went the extra mile to meet and greet us and make sure all kids got what was ordered, he was very kid friendly and approachable. He took special care of making sure dietary requirements were met and was overall very patient with the kids. 5* all round!!Dietary restrictions: They paid attention to a child who had dietary requirements and went the extra mile of being safe.Kid-friendliness: They let the children place their own orders and let them act like adults, which is nice

Myself and the children went to our local pizza express on Friday Looks amazing after the much needed revamp! Food was amazing . Staff were friendly ( Jack and Thomas) the only issue was the tables that are in the middle will experience the cold as the two doors are left open ( had to ask the waiter to shut at least one of the doors !) kids ate with their coats on for bit.Staff just need to ensure the doors are kept shut where possible .The catering staff were friendly and always ensure the food is presented well and taste delicious

#racismOne of the worst experience. I came with my family, the manager (white guy) told me that there's a party tomorrow so please go behind and sit and later other people who entered inside sat in the same table he didn't say a word. JUST BECAUSE AM AN INDIAN HE TOLD ME THAT.*THIS IS A COMPLETE RACISM*Also the service was very poor. Just for placing an order we waited for almost half an hour.#racism #romfordpolicedepartment

Not my finest restaurant experience. Went here for a relaxed birthday meal with family and whilst the restaurant has been refurbished since last going everything was just a little lacklustre. The service was slow and hesitant, the food was disappointing and each of our meals (4 in total) lacked flavour and none stood out, though the chocolate brownie dessert was good. Maybe just an off night.

Visited with my family. Worst service and very average food. Every order and request you have to wait for someone to attend. Every staffs are quite impatience and rude with the response. Requested for a table near window for my daughter but the manager denied our request and said all these section is booked for a party next day and he took us near the back area entry with noise and disturbance during our entire meal. In 10mins the same requested table was offered to others.Rude and racist staffs, poor service and average food!!!I have seen the management responding to reviews and I would request them to intervene and look their staff’s behaviour and teach them some basic hospitality. Checking upon the other negative reviews and staffs rude behaviour has highlighted very frequently from other guests.

Had a 15 minute intermission during a long film and Tom the legend managed to sort me out with pizza and dough balls with time to spare! Solid lad and service!
