Go to this restaurant about 3 times a year. First time with major complaint. Firstly no bread rolls "due to supply issues". Secondly limited wines available by glass - No Shiraz or Merlot red wine available by glass. Thirdly - and most important - over charged - had 2 glasses of red wine (Malbec) - one large and one small (the latter was confirmed by waitress who confirmed it was small when delivered to table). When bill turned up I was charged for 2 large wines. Waitress refused to admit error and said it was assumed I had same as first glass. Manager refused to amend bill. Finally - I'd left my phone at home on charge and when I checked it, I had received a message saying my booking had been cancelled as I was late - a text message sent 15 minutes before my booking time!!! If you do visit this place and drive / park there - make sure you register car on app by bar or you will receive a parking fine.

We walked thru the door to be greeted half heartedly by a member of staff who I believe to be some sort of manager. She found our reservation & showed us to our table. The floor was covered in the last families dinner & the table was sticky. We sat for a short while, placed our order with the only member of staff that could be bothered to serve, Dylan. He was polite & professional! We finally got our drinks after informing the suspected manager that the syrup for the Pepsi had run out & she managed to send someone to sort it. Food arrived, hot & tasty but the only plus. The whole time we were in the restaurant the suspected manager was constantly eating at the bar & doing nothing at all apart from perched over the stand where she greets you. Other staff looked unprofessional, messy & just had no customer service skills. We were served dessert with a dirty spoon, some dried on food, when I asked the waitress for another clean spoon there was no apology, she almost seemed irritated I had pulled her away from the greeting stand where she & the suspected manager were chatting. The restaurant is clearly badly & poorly run, it was grubby & the staff didn’t look much better. The place needs a good sort out & a decent manager as I will not be returning anytime soon!

Just had a lovely meal and our waiter Dylan was running the downstairs section of the restaurant on his own. Excellent service from a confident waiter. Well done Dylan ??

We went there for a spot of Sunday lunch. The food was over cooked and rubbery but to add further insult to injury, we were then stung with a parking charge! Needless to say that’s the first and last time. For a £30 meal to cost us almost £200, is ridiculous! Save your money and get a takeaway at home.

Arrived and were shown our table, had to wait for it to be cleaned which was ok. Went to get drinks and picked up some bread rolls was then spoken too very rudely for getting them ourselves due to Covid! Staff should always speak to people how they want to be spoken too, never an excuse for rude staff. Member of staff wasn’t wearing a name badge but our waitress knew who we meant when we told her and apologised, apparently usual for her to be rude! Also you can’t catch Covid from putting a bread roll on a plate! Waitress very helpful but wait for food was unacceptable, 45 min wait between courses, was told by same rude member of staff we should expect 30-40 minute wait and we should have know that. We overheard at least three tables asking where food was, clearly a problem with staffing. When food arrived one had to go back as was burnt! Visited the toilets to find both toilets blocked and faeces cover tissues all over the floor. Had heard one complaint before I used the toilet, which was clearly ignored. I would have thought the toilets would be checked regularly but it appears the staff are more worried about bread rolls and being rude to customers than checking toilets are useable and hygienic.

Went for dinner with children.Food was good. There clearly is not enough staff to please everyone having to wait for table to be cleared and to order drinks and pudding , the staff were as attentive as they could be under the circumstances of the staff shortages. All staff were plesant and helpful.

Myself and 23 of our family members celebrated my granddaughter’s birthday there this evening. Dylan our waiter was fantastic, great service, he honestly couldn’t have done anything better. The bar staff was friendly and polite. Food was lovely and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much

Tables sticky to start with and carpet was more sticky than a Weatherspoon's! Service was good to start but food came out cold . Ask to be re done but they threw the steak back on the grill and re served it as well done (originally rare) Chef had the hump because it was returned again. Other diners chips cold and soggy, sweetcorn seemed like it had been in a bucket of water for a week. Complained at the end of the meal and the waitress (didn't get her name) tried to resolve but said she couldn't do anything on it. Along came her colleague who'd clearly had a bad day and started to argue with a guest about why we wanted the waitress' name and managers details. He became extremely rude and argumentative and given his attitude should work nowhere near customers! Horrible food, horrible experience never to be repeated. AVOID!!!

My wife and I went out for the evening and booked a table at The Horse and Groom. Great service and good food and complementary salad a bonus.

Meet a group of friends here regularly. Food is good and reasonably priced. Staff are very accommodating. Nice layout with various levels. Can be a bit noisy in the earlier part of the evening as popular with families.

Had better customer service experience in McDonalds.\\n\\nFrom who I can only assume was the head waitress, being so rude. Walked up to the front desk asking “hi, are you accepting walk ins?”. Was responded with “have you booked?” in the bluntest tone of voice known. Then was pointed to one table next to the door saying “that’s the only one.” Again, blunt as anything.\\n\\nSat for a total of 1 minute before deciding we don’t want to pay her wages, absolutely awful for the face of the company.

Lovely food and service. Our waitress who I can't remember her name, sorry. We were sat downstairs and through conversation we found out that her sister was working with her later that evening. Thank you you're a credit to Harvester.
