They overcharged me for a tiny slice of cheese by 70p! which is ridiculous! Especially considering there are cheaper and better quality fast food places in the area who don't overcharge for an add on. The staff are nice. Its just the managers son who is money hungry. Avoid this place like the plague!

"I had a bad experience with the customer service at this chickencottage. They have a policy where they don't accept card payments of less than £5, but they didn't display this information on the floor. Instead of explaining the policy, they made silly offers like 8 chicken wings for £5. Moreover, they don't offer scouse for takeaway, and they charge extra for it. The service was also very rough.

ordered this on deliveroo, took 20 minutes to come. food came fresh. the chips were crispy and didn’t even need dip to help with the taste, the leg piece was 10/10, the wings had the perfect breading and spice levels, the fillet in the burger was flavourful unlike a lot of chicken shops. this is a top tier chicken shop right

Just had a burger meal and two wings Chips were like sand and the burger completely no taste and felt like the food was cooked with dirty hands! Stooped for a well needed bite to eat on Saturday night. I went for the Gourmet chicken burger meal and my friend had the spicy mountain burger meal.It was busy when we arrived with all 3 tables occupied so we asked for takeaway.They cooked our food fresh and by the time it was ready which was the expected 4 or 5 minutes the tables were clear so we ate in.The food was excellent, moist, tasty, not fatty and loads of fries. My friend enjoyed his food and the burger had just the right amount of spice so about 7 out of 10 knowing him ?The prices were very reasonable. Both in the region of £6.50 to £7.50.Will go there again next time we go to the George in Woodford opposite.

Absolute disgrace I go in there ask for food they prices are more then kfc but I thought doesn’t matter as long as food is good . Went to order they mighty big box which is £8 they guy said u what cheese in burger and peri peri salt on chips I said yes . When it came to paying he said £9 I said why they said 50p for salt and 50p for cheese I said u never told me before . I told him look at the price his charging he just shrugged his shoulders. Any way I took my card to make payment and the guy then goes Cash only or minimum order £10 . Absolutely a joke not only they want ti charge stupid price for an average chicken. Shop they want to avoid paying taxes and rinse the customers out . Absolutely disgraceful avoid at all costs !!
