“Love going here, the vibes are good and the game-themed cocktails are really brilliant. Sometimes game themed cocktails are sub-par, either bad mixology or regular cocktails with game inspired names but here they have created really nice cocktails that are well mixed 'and' game themed!I had the Monster Hunter, it was really tasty and boozy enough. I was there for an after party and they'd created a shot for the night, which was really good as well - kudos to the person they designs the drinks!”

“? Dalston Kingsland? £5.50 Guinness❤️ The quintessential local pub..Nestled in quiet residential backstreet in the heart of Stoke Newington you’ll find The Shakespeare pub. The nearest station is Dalston Kingsland which is just over a ten minute walk to get here..The Shakespeare Tavern as it was then called was built by Whitbread in 1866. Today it is run by one of the best pubco’s in London, Remarkable Pubs..This once two bar pub has an elongated Island servery which has some superb colourful retro posters behind the optics. One of my favourite features of this pub are the two etched glass parches complete with mosaic tiled floors with the pubs name on. Around the walls are an eclectic assortment of artworks and mirrors which make for a talking point to a first time visitor. At the rear of the pub is a cosy heated beer garden, there is also additional seating at the front to watch the world go by..The beer line up was excellent, there is a good mix of homegrown beers, European classics plus a couple of cask ales. As it was St Patricks Day, I decided to round the day off with a Guinness. My pint was superb and was very well kept, price point was good at £5.50. If you’re hungry, there is a burger menu available with vegetarian and vegan options too. A hamburger and a side will set you back a tenner..We arrived just after 6pm, the pub was packed and had a nice upbeat buzz. The crowd was a mix of Stokey Hipsters, older indigenous locals and a few parents with younger children. I’m not a fan of children in pubs, for me it’s for adults only. The service was quick, attentive and done so with a smile. This pub does have a lovely local pub feel to it, one of best I’ve experienced in ages..The Shakespeare was a fantastic visit and we all really enjoyed spending time here. This pub has that money can’t buy neighbourhood local feel where you feel immediately welcome. The beer line up was great and I loved the mix of old and new decor. This is another superb Stoke Newington hostelry that you need to pay a visit..ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 17.03.23”

“This is a beautiful boozer. 4.75 stars. Would be the full five if they sold scampi fries and scratchings.A traditional pub, deceptively large. A beautiful real wood (and coal) fireplace, the likes of which you very rarely see east or north.Great beer selection and a proper Guinness, with authenticated plaque.Gets busy as the secrets out.”
