I Alarrived to my regular rugby pub, only to find the lady behind the bar be so angry (because a sober friend arrived with a diet coke) that she screamed the walls down. I tried my best to explain that our mate arrived with a diet coke (which was stupidly obvious) but she was on the murder-y warpath and just seemed to only want to scream at people for no reason.Pretty sad, been in service myself for years, this was totally unjustified. I'll find somewhere else. No human should be treated like that.

This place is an absolute undiscovered diamond - not trying to be anything other than what it is..... An "OLD SCHOOL PUB"The warmest welcome & the best Guinness in the area ?The perfect end to a perfect evening..Amazing mother & son team xx

I like this place! It feels like a 'proper' pub quite unlike the many corporate bar enterprises in Stratford.Although the pub does have big screens playing 6 Nations rugby and Gaelic footie...it was unobtrusive but still watchable for the sports minded. The pub has a mellow feel catering to a slightly older crowd. Nice wooden tables and wood panelled walls. At the time of my visit...it sold Timothy Taylor on draft, and a dark Tim Taylor, along with an excellent, well kept pint of Guinness! Not the deep frozen stuff so oftened served in many establishments. To top it off it had an excellent selection of whiskeys including the full range of Bushmills at very reasonable prices.I live locally, and I will certainly be coming again. Nice place!!

This place is a proper pub not an eatery, if you want food go to a restaurant, nice to have a conversation and a drink with the landlord and locals.

Until last night this was the best pub in the area. Unfortunately a guy walked in with the most horrendous eye injury that looked as though it'd not long happened. His eye brow had been cut so deeply it revealed the top of his eye socket and the eyebrow and eyelid just hung over his eye. His was very confused and almost certainly suffering from concussion and quite possibly suffering from a compression injury. When I said to the landlady that she really ought to call an ambulance she replied it's nothing to do with us. Trouble was though, he had just bought a pint of Fosters from the bar. This made him their customer and therefore (legally speaking) their problem. I politely pointed this out to the landlady, she then called me a Moron.
