This must be one of the best fish and chips restaurant in the Surbiton/Kingston area. The fish is cooked to perfection (can specify with batter or unbattered) and the chips are nice and chunky. You have to give it a try- if you can get past the queues! Booking highly recommended on Fridays and weekends.

This is an old style fish and hips shop with a restaurant. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food is consistently high quality. The fish is cooked to order so there may be a delay, it's also popular so expect queues and lot's of collections.

Something has changed in the last few weeks. This chips are harder and crispier , it’s just not the same. Please fix it! I am a long time customer and it would be disappointing to not have my chip shop anymore.

Not visited for over a year - but same good, non-greasy fish & chips I remember. They did initially take my order wrong, but corrected it. The batterless haddock is 5?

I do not buy chips here for myself because they simply do not taste like potato, there is infact no flavour to them and they are often too hard. The only thing I buy for myself are pies or fish which have been off in the past but exchanged without question so no qualms usually on the service.However, tonight, after being reprimanded for requesting separate wrapping at the wrong time on a Friday night just doesnt cut it. I felt it was rude and embarrassing to be spoken to like that and wished I had spoken up at the time, so from regret I am now writing this review. I had put up with bad food from here for too long just because the service is usually friendly, and now without that, I will now never go back there again.

The best fish and chips in the area by a long way. Massive portions , cooked fresh on the spot . Not soggy , just beautifully cooked

After eating a few chips I found a coarse black hair, much like beard hair. Had to throw the portion away. I was on my way to work and could not go back, but took a photo. When I went back a few days later they brushed it off and apologised and told me it’s because they have so many people working behind the counter and that it’s the first time they’ve heard of that and I should bring them straight back next time.

I'll start by saying I teetered between 2 & 3 stars on this place, but the people there are friendly so will lean on the generous side. Nothing is inherently 'bad' with this place but then nothing about it is great either. The good - the portion sizes are pretty reasonable in fairness, and as mentioned, the staff very happy to help and serve. The not so good - the chips, and even more so the fish are, for want of a better word, decidedly average. You're left with a feeling of 'well that was that then' once finishing a portion, neither content nor discontent. Bland and of not great texture if I were to be brutal about things. All of which could be forgiven if it weren't for the fact that, if we're all being honest, the place is overpriced. Not sea-sure I'll be returning
