This was our local and we felt welcomed as a family until this month. Typically we went once or twice a week to get out of the house and spend time together as a family. Sadly, we were made to feel unwelcome yesterday. Our three year old moved around in the pub for approximately 90 seconds, with me supervising him and within arm's reach. A member of staff approached me and said the child couldn't do that and made a further comment about how I had dressed my child. I should say that we immediately complied with the request and then left. It was not busy in the pub at the time, and we always came for about an hour and then left. Parents and children should be welcomed in public, and it is very rare that someone is in the right to comment on how a parent chooses to rear (and especially dress) their child. To preempt a response about health and safety, ultimately it is my responsibility to ensure these for my child and I was supervising him closely, and the movement was under two minutes total. When we've gone in the past to this pub, people were interested to speak to us and our child and generally our child was quiet or doing normal toddler things like talking to us and others. Children act like children, and that's and important part of places that can build community such as local pubs. If childlike behaviour is unwelcome, please put up a sign saying "children are not welcome" and be done with it. We will be avoiding this pub from now on.

Lovely cosy, friendly pub. Never been here before. Pleasantly surprised with the lovely atmosphere. Managed to ? park directly outside. ( I don't drink, so perfectly OK ? ). My companions ??? ‍♂️thoroughly enjoyed their beers. And my delicious sparkling ✨️ water ? quenched my thirst. Parking: Limited street parking. I was just very lucky.

First time here, nice enough pub with plenty of Tv's a good selection of beer and a good sized garden with umbrellas and heaters for the smokers, was also quite busy on a Thursday which is always a good sign and if i am honest, if our group hadnt eaten i would have given 4 stars but the food was a real let down. Our group orrdered 2 steak pie and chips but both came with mash and watery gravy the mash on one plate was twice the size of the other and one was cold and the pie was bland and burnt at the base, 2 Southern fried chicken burgers and chips, both chickens were over cooked and chips were soggy, plain burger and chips which came out as a cheese burger and chips with burgers that look like they had come straight out the packet and soggy chips, fish and chips which came out as burger and chips and chicken wings which were overdone and barely edible...they did correct the burger and the fish and chips to the correct order.Yes the pub was busy but this is basic food and it took so longfor it to arrive most people didnt bother complaining they just ate what they could and left.

Quick pop in for fish finger sandwich and drink. Pub pretty empty ( time of day probably ) so not much atmosphere. But they did put rugby on for us :).
