Not a huge sea food lover but the sister loves it. Prawns were great and the veg that comes with especially the sweetcorn in the seasoning they put in the bag was lovely ! As a whole considering not the biggest of seafood lovers it was a good experience from the way of eating it to the taste itself.

I am a regular at Fat Crab. Food is beautifully seasoned - although the hottest level of spice is not very hot.Recently prices have increased, however, in my opinion this is still the best place to have seafood in south London.

The worst place i’ve ever eaten. I don’t even know where to start this place is bare ghetto ??? they sat us right by the door when there was other available seats. The two servers were so rude i don’t know if there manager weren’t there or something but the fat one couldn’t control herself and she dipped her finger in my sauce when i wasn’t looking…i even think a chip went missing. The calamari was dead i had one bite and wanted to return it but she refused and said there was nothing wrong with it. it tasted like rubber and sand. i didn’t eat it im sure she enjoyed it in the back. so overpriced don’t come here LOOOL

My family had been excited to see what the fat crab was all about . So it was a promise to visit there with my family. First to have a takeaway and come back later for dinner if we see the staff were friendly. To our surprise the snow crab we ordered 39 pounds and the source was outrageous. It was so salty you could actually taste the suspended salt at the bottom of the plate. The powered peper and the muxed herbs could be tasted individually. We ended up binning the source. The crab legs were all bony. As a matter of we fact we were at the verge of returning the meal and just leave. Our experienced with the meal was horrible. Very disappointing for the kind of charge the meal cost.

This is a MUST GO place, the food is divine!!! This is my first seafood boil place and it didn't disappoint! The cajan, hot, lb prawns with sweet potatoes and corn was awesome and well marinated!! So good I went back a week later !

First time @Fat Crab ?Mouth watering food, messy eating, no judging...The food was so delicious we didn't even take pictures of when it was served...Take a look at the messy table.. It's full of the shells that we could no longer chomp down...The service was absolutely ? ?A haven for sea food lovers!!!
The food was decent, however the portions were quite small for the prices they were charging when we went here. Also it took them a while to get the appropriate cutlery to our table along with the plastic bib, which was not great considering how messy it can get whilst eating a seafood boil. I raised this to the manager afterwards and they mentioned that they will give us a discount next time, however, we mentioned that this branch was too far and we wouldn't be able to visit again.

The food was AMAZING…Service was 100%…I spent £23.85 and was fully satisfied with how full I was..only down side is the baby high chairs being stored in the actual toilet…maybe get some that fold away and not stack on top of each other, easier to store in the restaurant and not a place where people pee and poop!!

I will say the one in Clapham on my two trips is 5*. this is a great place to eat but this is based on my trip on in June.I visited the cheam branch for the first time in June 2023 to celebrate our first year of marriage.we started coming to the fat crab as a celebration dinner. we normally spend 100-130 for two of us with a mighty feast normally the lobster deal for two and crabs and prawns as an extra treat.on the cheam visit I will say the crab was stunning like butter the flavour profile and the flakey meat was sensational and exactly what you want for crabthe crown jewel though the two lobsters for 60 or 70 quid was like rubber. The lobster was tough and beyond over cooked as we're the bag of prawns.on telling the staff member I was instantly fobbed off being told "it's on a timer so its cooked"any foodie knows lobster and after eating and heavily loving my visits at Clapham I was expecting the best seafood.the prawns were solid and the lobster you could hear yourself chewing like tough beef.never before have I asked this but I did ask if it was frozen lobster to try and work out why it was so tough.the staff brought out a live lobster...granted I would do this to prove a point as a waiter but actually as a form of respect why not just sort the bloody lobster out? take it back and cook it properly. I said it overcooked on my first bite before my wife even tried hers. easy fix! I even offered the waiter to try the lobster so they can exsperiance the texture.I found it was rude and not needed.it put a real bitter taste in my mouth as this was our first wedding anniversary and we only venture to the fat crab for a big celebrational meal.I will likely try the Clapham one again but the staff, food was no where near what I expect following my visits to Clapham.I will say fries, crab lovely really enjoyed them and was the only reason I didn't walk out angry.genrally the lobster is fantastic and the seafood is top notch here from my past exsperiance.but even after complaining to be ignored when eating the more exspensive items on the menu was infuriating. Instead of sorting the issues the staff sat at the till on there phones.my treat/ celebration meals might just go to miller and carter now.such a shame as my wife loves seafood but this trip ruined our big meal out and our big milestone.I have been really busy or I would of complained sooner but I'm not expecting anything from this I'm just hoping they take this on board.but please do try the Clapham one I will be ignoring this one for my next visit.Parking: side streets. Amazing seafood. The seasoned chips were a bit too salty, and rice was too dry. But the overall experience was fun and the seafood was fresh and tasty. Price is also good for what you get, would come again.
