Went for dinner with my wife and very impressed with decor and ambiance, it was all down hill from there. Waited a long time at the bar for drinks and given a pint that hadn’t been pulled correctly with the head still overflowing. Ordered olives and focaccia with dips to start and I ordered a burger and my wife the plant burger. Waited 30minutes for starters and where told they had been left on a different table by mistake and that our main meals where also ready. Given the choice to take both at the same time or leave our Burgers sitting in the kitchen for a few minutes, not great options. We asked to send the starters back and were left the olives for free as an apology which was nice. The burgers were a big disappointment with mine being bland at best and my wife’s plant burger being what I can only describe as a tasteless lump of gluppy stuff. Not ones to make a fuss my wife did mention the uneaten burger was a disappointment but just got a “sorry about that” and conversation closed. It’s a nice placed for a drink being on the river but I’d avoid the food going on our experience.

Looked on the anglers website at the menu before deciding to go there and it had a beef pie on it so that was one of the reason for going but when we get there on the paper menu it said to ask for what pie of the day was and it turned out to be fish pie ( I don’t eat any fish ) I ended up ordering the burger even though I didn’t really want a burger but didn’t fancy anything else on the menu and it was fine for a burger and my partners food was also nice but when ordering desert we was told there wasn’t any apple crumble left that’s on the menu so I ordered sticky toffee pudding and my partner ordered some other dessert but then the waitress came back to tell us there isn’t any sticky toffee pudding also so we didn’t have anything in the end as there wasn’t anything else I liked on the menu and my partner didn’t want to sit eating desert on her own . Not the best experience for dining out unfortunately.Parking: Wasn’t busy so easy parking

Service can be a bit slow when busy but the good food and fantastic beers from Fullers and associated breweries make up for that. A solid

I visited recently and had a very good lunch. The shared kofta starter was particularly good (and huge). Slightly cramped interior, but nicely decorated.

I recently had a fantastic experience at The Anglers in Teddington! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The menu offered a delicious variety, and my meal was nothing short of exquisite. The attention to detail and the overall ambiance made for a memorable evening. I highly recommend The Anglers to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in Teddington. Five stars all the way!

Popped in here on Christmas day and have to say that the staff were amazing, although they were very busy, they still managed to serve with a smile. We didn't eat but the food looked great. Thank you for a very pleasant hour. We'll be back.

Great cozy atmosphere with a classy feel. Delicious food, variety of beers, ales and wines. Have a snack with your drink or something like a burger, cod or a dessert. Menu is not huge but has enough of a variety to cater for an evening of socialising!

Terribly overpriced and greasy hoddock and chips served with raw carrot and green pepper sticks. Very disappointing. Table was also not wiped clean for us from previous people who ate there.Nice location though. Will return for a pint but not for the food.

The staff are atrocious I have been visiting the Anglers for nearly 30 years and tonight was the final icing on the cake I was totally ignored by a bar person who served somebody who arrived at that bar after me and then she compounded it by saying well he was here first!!! The staff seem to think that customers are privileged to be served by them, they are no longer fun to chat to, the art of conversation seems to have died in the Anglers, sad I remember it when it was a dark but welcoming place by the river shame

Arrived by boat so used their mooring. Really looked after in our large group and food was very good. If coming in by boat check the tides as jetty and bridge quite a way out. At high tide there will be water surrounding the bridge and covering some/most of the picnic area.

I like Anglers mainly because of its location ( by the river) and its spacious place. There is plenty of space indoors and outdoors. Appreciate the bicycle racks in the garden.Four of us went there recently for Sunday roast. It was pretty tasty. Roast beef was soft and medium done, to our liking. Vegetables and roast potatoes were done nicely.I was impressed with the desserts. Normally, I don't get to any dessert following a large meal, but on Sunday, we decided to go for it.The only comment I will make is about the service. The table wasn't cleared up as we emptied the plates. We piled up the empty plates, and they stayed like that till the end. It's not a pretty sight if you are enjoying a nice meal. Tidy and clean table is the first thing I look for in a restaurant or pub. That makes a huge difference in customer experience.
