Been humming and harring about going to this restaurant for months and months, all because of the reviews! We finally decided to take a plunge. It was very easy to book a table over the phone. When we got to the restaurant we were greeted like regulars, so lovely! Our table was ready, amazing Spain wine! Olive and bread for the table. Only criticism I can say it took very long time for the starters to arrive. But food was really tasty and service was amazing! We will be going back, lovely local place! Loved the dessert trolly! Recommend!

We had an excellent meal. All three courses absolutely delicious. We have never been disappointed in this restaurant. The service was very, very good . The proprietors were friendly, helpful and attentive. It was lovely choosing a dessert from a dessert trolley and everything looked delicious and tempting. Definitely one of our favourite restaurants.

Very disappointed.I made a reservation a week earlier, after reaching the restaurant it turned out that the reservation had not been made. We were assigned a random table - there were 4 of us, and we got a table for 2 people. cards were handed over and for the next 10-15 minutes no one came to us. no eye contact, no interest. we had a feeling as if they wanted to ask us out.Unfortunately, we decided to give up and left. after trying to explain why we were leaving, the woman started shouting at us all over the restaurant that we didn't have a reservation - implying a lie?very unprofessional, rude service. I really wanted to try the meal from this restaurant because I live 2 minutes from this place but Unfortunately… I have never experienced such unprofessionalism.

I was travelling to Wallington for a first date, desperate to make a good impression. I chose El Nido online, not knowing the area well, or the restaurant, it's reputation, or the quality of it's menu. All I can say is, what a find! It was great. They gave us a lovely table in the corner and were welcoming and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was attentive but not intrusive. I could not have chosen a better venue for a romantic first date and, thanks to El Nido, the date went extremely well. So much so that we have decided to book the same table again when we return for our first couples anniversary. Thank you El Nido. Keep up the good work.

Nice, friendly neighbourhood Spanish restaurant. Had a delicious chorizo and red wine starter. The sweet trolley is a winner! I had to choose the sherry trifle!

Visited this restaurant on a Saturday night for a romantic meal for two. The restaurant was quite busy but not overcrowded or noisy. The staff were very professional and attentive. The food was excellent and of a very high quality.Do strive to leave room for the sweet trolley, it never fails to impress.The restaurant itself is very accessible and close to both Wallington Station and a bus stop for very easy access to both Croydon and Morden. Highly recommended!

Authentic Spanish food served by the most lovely husband and wife team who I discovered have run the restaurant since 1978! Everything I ate was utterly delicious - garlic prawn starter, paella main and dessert from the dessert trolley (yep dessert trolley! ??). Can’t wait to go back

I have lived in Carshalton for 28 years and have been meaning to try El Nido as I have heard such great reviews from friends and family. We visited last night as it was the only restaurant that had availability and so glad that they did!!The service, atmosphere, food and cost was fantastic and I would not hesitate to return.Nowadays, service like we had at El Nido does not exist , the owners are genuinely friendly, which is rare.In my opinion, this restaurant should have a waiting list for bookings, it’s great!!
