Popped in for lunch with a friend. Found a good choice of seating areas away from the door and any draughts. Lots of choice on the menu including lite bites, sandwiches, burgers, steaks, and a variety of main meals with a choice of chips, potatoes or salad.I had halloumi & avocado salad and my friend had chicken & bacon salad. Both were generous portions with plenty of the featured components. Unfortunately my friend's salad came minus the promised dressing so she had to wait a few minutes for this to be brought, hence 1 star deduction. However, she still said it was the best salad she'd ever had!Vegetarian options: Quite a few options availableDietary restrictions: Gluten-free menu availableParking: Very small car park for customers. Nearby side roads are somewhat congested, so walk if you can or take the bus - 89, 96, 486 and B16 stop opposite or 2 minute walk.

Came for soem food Friday lunch time, was a busy lunch but food was very nice and didn’t have to wait too long. Service was great I got served by a young woman didn’t catch her name but very polite and accommodating, she even come to the table once we finished drinks to offer more whilst we was eating rather then having to go to the bar to order, we will be back for sure. Thank you for a lovely visit

Nice spot for a bite to eat nice quick service and food cooked to perfection. Staff all very nice, and some great deals on food and drink for January which is a bonus

Nicely decorated pub with (dog) friendly service and good pub grub served nice and hot - the mac and cheese and the gammon and chips were delicious.

Took in donations of toys for the children in crises appeal. Decided to have something to eat. I ordered Hunters Chicken. My husband sausage and mash. Sausages had no taste and the mash looked like a cow pat. Hunters chicken comprised of one slice of chicken that looked like it was from a reconstituted chicken roll, on top a solitary piece of bacon about half a rasher and probably one dessert spoon of sauce. Chips of poor quality, full of black eyes. Very dissapointed all round.

Beautiful pub, very accommodating for all ,staff friendly. Big wide range of drinks to choose from even no alcohol which was great as I am doing dry January.

Very accommodating, having booked our work Xmas drinks in the pub down the road we decided to go elsewhere as it was very quiet for a Saturday with 0 atmosphere, so we decided to pop into the guy and was a great move as the pub was very lively with nice happy bar staff which was a bonus, the staff even let us do some song requests, we really had a lovely night

Modern decor and friendly staff. Management are committed to supporting the local community, particularly the homeless and those vulnerable which is great to see. We ordered a selection of food, mine was cod and chips. Batter had a funny taste to it which put me off. The other food was fab though and generous size portions which is reflected in price compared to Wetherspoons nearby. Bar staff very helpful and pleasant to speak to. Lovely pub, clean and modern, love the community spirit from the management, offering free meals to those who need it Xmas day. Such a lovely thing to do. I’d like to support this local business and I think they deserve the support of local people as they’re defintely giving something back in return. Well done The Guy!

Had a beautiful Sunday lunch here, we had the roast beef that was cooked perfectly with all the trimmings beautifully presented. We was told before we ordered there maybe a wait as there was only one chef in true kitchen and also a buffet in, but only had to wait around half hour, the server was a young lad with lovely manners on him. We will be returning
