I have lived in the area for 20 years, but my first visit to this restaurant was with friends only 12 months ago and very much enjoyed it. As a result I was eager to take my wife the next time, which we did, but the experience was not as good, with food being in very small portions and not very attentive staff. With the initial good experience in mind we decided to visit again a week ago, only to be disappointed again, with what was again small portions and poor quality vegetable accompaniments to the main courses. In particular potatoes like bullets which was highlighted to staff and the response was ' they would let chef know'. On reflection of our last 2 visits I don't think we will be going again.

Whilst we both enjoyed our lunch , we found the service slow, kept on having to ask for a drink , asking for coffee, in the end went to sit in the bar area, got coffee there and the bill. Found the bar lacking in Christmas decorations .
