A good selection of dim sum, plenty for every taste from steamed to fried. Overall quality is good, some may find it a little bland but the overall taste is there in my opinion. I think the chef is cautious with the salt which is a good thing.Ordering is very easy, just tick the ones you want on the menu sheet.The restaurant itself feels a little tired but overall a great find and will be our local dim sum from now on.

I usually come here on Sundays for Lunch. As a Hong Konger , the Chinese dim sum is authentic and service is top notch. Reminds me of restaurants back home. Love it.

Absolutely delicious dim sum. We've been coming here with the children for a few years now and it's never disappointed. Huge portions, really fresh and really lovely friendly staff who are great with the children. Always full at the weekend with chinese families which is an indication as to how great it is.

Not to be confused by its name. If you are looking for your regular serve of Papaya Salad or Pad Thai here, you'll be disappointed. This is definitely not a Thai restaurant.What you'll get here are exquisite Cantonese styled cuisine and not so commonly found dim sum.The restaurant is usually busy whenever I go there. Hence, do not expect highly attentive service.

Been coming here for more than 15 years. Went tonight after 14-16 months and questioned if it had changed hands? We were told no.It was always busy no matter what night,tonight we were 1 of only 3 tables,it was empty. I realised why.... the menu has changed in not just look but contents. The food portions are ridiculously tiny. And when you ask for more i felt it was a chore for them. The coke was flat and the prawn crackers were stale. It was a very sad experience for us as we used to love coming here. As a result of tonight's experience we definitely won't be back. It's not worth the drive from epsom anymore.

So if you are looking for posh surroundings not the place to go But I loved the ambience reminded me of dim sum places in HK in the old daysPrices were very reasonableWill definitely visit again

Gone downhill a bit recently. They must have lost their chef or some key members of staff - the last 2 deliveries have had missing items, the food turns up cold, the crispy chilli beef that used to be fantastic is now a soggy chewy mess. Used to be fab, now not so fab.
Really disappointed, service was extremely slow, food was taking ages to Come, when it did come it was Luke/warm cold. When this restaurant gets it right it’s amazing but when they don’t it’s awful. Been here numerous times over the years but unfortunately after our experience last Saturday - Poor everything - and fully charged on the bill we won’t be returning.

This restaurant is a lovely hidden gem in my lovely area. I honestly feel that if the interior was better it could easily compete with top restaurant in Central. The service is good and food is delicious.

Been going to The Thai Elephant since I was about 3 years old (in my 30's now). Always loved the food and so happy they started doing dim sum at lunchtime. Fantastic dim sum and great all you can eat off the menu in the evening.

Great place with a good choice of thai food. Throughly enjoyed every dish I had. The mee goreng(?) was a new dish to me and a definite favourite.
