Visited 1.10.23 Sunday evening buffet. Excellent food, restauraunt was very busy, but they coped very well with frequency of bringing food out. Staff were all friendly & practiced good customer services, only criticism few things on menu unavailable.

Have been coming to royal china/tasty china for over 20 years. Sad to say will not be visiting again. Service very poor, food has gone downhill and the charging has gone berserk. £145 for 3 people eating all you can eat. Shame because Mel used to run a very nice place.

I see the owner Mel mok has been putting 5 star on for his own business.Been using this place since December 2007 and always loved it. Probably been here 30 or more time as I used to work next door and indeed helped many of the staff find homes over the years.So it is with a heavy heart that I write this reviewToday we came as a group of 13 the food was not up to scratch by a long shot. We forgave the poor food quality but....The bill was inflated to cover more than we had.When we pointed out the errors a very silly British boy (Joe?) Became aggressive. Threw bills aggressively on the table, called me a C**T, then threw a temper tantrum and stormed off to stand by the bar making aggressive and threatening gesture to me..... why? because we caught him with errors on the bill.One meal here tonight, being treated so disgustingly by the English manager, has ruined 16 years of being a loyal customer.I would NEVER COME HERE AGAIN and am considering contacting the police because of his abusive and aggressive treatment directly to me...Yes we did still pay the 10% service charge however they did not deserve it. I've seen the vile behaviour he alone has given other customers (see reviews) who ask for service charge to be removed.

I went there with my best friend for dinner and catch up. Food was amazing, every single dish we had was very tasty and flavourful. We had bunch of starters (scallops in black bean sauce, crab claws, chicken, green beans and fried king prawns). The duck and pancakes was very lovely as well. Overall I would highly recommend you to try it out as food is delicious and waitresses were very attentive and kind they also gave helpful recommendations.

Prices have gone up, food quality dropped but the main reason, we asked for the OPTIONAL service charge to be removed and where told they can do that but don’t come back here again. Well guess what, we won’t. We’ve always paid service charge and normally a lot more than 10%, but after that they have lost our business. Good luck to you if you don’t want to pay service charge.

Our daughter advance booked a table for EIGHT of us, for Sunday - Mother's Day. But on arrival there was a notice in the window saying closed, on holiday! They couldn't even be bothered to let our daughter know. So we won't bother trying going to Tasty China again!
