Booked Jolly Carter Little Lever to celebrate friends 75th birthday on Saturday 25th November. Told that the food could run out so be early. Booked table for nine at 5pm. Sat talking and deciding what to have. After a while the waitress came to take order . Several things were missing. Easier to tell us what they had rather than deciding and keep changing. By six thirty meals started to appear. Ninety minutes wait! Mine was still missing. Along came the manager who informed us that the table would be needed by seven as they had a party of forty two coming in. After complaining that we had been waiting for ninety minutes my meal arrived and told that our booking should never have been taken. How to make customers welcome. next step was the waitress telling us that she had set another table up for us elsewhere. Asked for the manager again and told him we were not happy with the service we hadn't received. We decided that we would take our birthday cake which was in the kitchen and go to Tesco and buy ice cream and go home. Warmer reception at home. Never again will we step inside the Jolly Carter. Such a shame . Pubs are shutting down and to be honest the ones that are left need to get their acts together otherwise we wont have any places left .

Great food for a family eat out. Reasonably priced and the drinks were good too. I can see this becoming a regular eatery for me and my family.

I nipped in today before work, had the loaded chicken burger ? which was beautiful, had a couple of bitter shandy, staff were polite, food came quick, new owners are a credit, better than before the pandemic. ?

Little lever pub that's always had a good atmosphere. Great beer garden for the summer

Food.Atrocious, had a roast beef dinner, the beef looked like the old microwave packet beef, carrots and the quarter parsnip was soggy and covered in oil.the roast POTATO was ok ish, the extra ones i ordered were almost passable. Yorkshires were burnt on top ans swimming in oil inside. Cauliflower cheese had the cheapest cheese available an came cold. The gravy was passable.Beef burger was dry and flavourless and mildly warm and the fries were freezing coldChicken skewres were stone cold !!! And came with our main as if theyd been waiting the whole time.Service... miserable and seemed as they didnt want to be there more interested in friends that were around.Beer, first pint tasted yeasty.Overall, if you fancy a game of pool and a pint youll be ok, when it comes to food try a packet of peanuts !!!!

What a beautiful local pub, I went to see a live band play as they have them playing some Sundays and most Wednesday's. They play some very good songs and adds to a great evening out. They have some very nice draft beer including my favourite Flat cap from bank top, lovely pint. Great food as well. What more do you need on a Wednesday night good beer, good food and great entertainment.Food & drinks: Amazing draft beer and lovely food
