Went here today for a carvery me and hubby, and won't be returning there again. Food basically was rubbish, meat was ok, but the rest ie roast potatoes, mash carrots, peas, cauliflower, and omg don't get me talking about the sprouts how tiny they was. Just wasn't edible any of it. I only ate the meat, left everything else. Very disappointed

Please please do not waste your money here next Christmas. Only booked here because I have a 3 year old and my husband feels when people are paying a lot of money at a decent restaurant they don’t want a 3 year old being a nightmare which she can be. I’m not saying it’s ok in a carvery but they are more family oriented and people understand more. Table had been booked for 2 months for 4:20pm, arrived on time on Christmas Day told to wait in bar area. Not a problem but after 1 hour and 30 minutes not ideal. When taken to table waited 45 mins for our drinks, again this is fine the staff are working extremely hard and are way from their families. Waited 1 hour 15 mins for starters which we pre ordered. Omg I do not expect good quality food as it is a carvery but dear god poisoning I draw the line at. My sons prawns still frozen, my husbands salmon well let’s just say the cat would turn its nose up at it and my daughters soup and bread full of hairs. To say we did not eat or stay after 2.5 hours after arriving is an understatement. Please stay clear

Came on 26.12.23 for a family Christmas boxing day meal. We didnt cook Christmas day,We thought we'd have a change. We was seated after waiting at the bar for a drink for a while. We then waited an hour for starters to come out. The soup was tepid. Cold starters took even longer to arrive, which us puzzling. Carvery was served by a young man who looked so unhappy....I got a...what do you want.... The veg was dry, no roast potatoes, had to wait for gravy to come out. After waiting another hour for puddings, we decided we didn't want them. We gt our drinks free and a small discount on the food we had eaten. .We got Apologies, but I'm afraid wasn't good enough. Every group I saw was complaining. Lack of staff. Will not be returning any time soon, which is ashame as we chose here because we've always enjoyed it. The Ashworth Family (12 of us, including 2 children whom were very bored.).

Don’t do Xmas dinners it was shockingly bad. The staff were lovely but not enough of them so the service was very slow if at all. Wasn’t made special even though it was Xmas day and not cheap. Starter was a joke stale slither of bread something in a plastics tub pickled something and a piece of satsuma ?. Veg had a weird taste some things were undercooked, asked for cranberry sauce but gave up waiting for it to come out. Also waited 45 mins for desert which was actually nice.

Avoid unless you want a shambles of an evening.Booked Boxing Day table months in advance, when we arrived food was taking over an hour as chef had left and the servers was cooking, (wasn’t informed had to find out ourselves). This restaurant seems to be run like college, no order or responsibility. Just a few people walking around with faces like smacked bottoms.Mike the server was extremely rude, he needs basic customer service training desperately, aswell as anger management after using foul language not only in the work place, but around several shocked faces and multiple under 5’s.After an hour of being there he was telling us they are “technically” closed and that he is making the food. We have booked and are paying full price in a restaurant to be told this? Also told chef has left as he had thrown up, not what any hungry person wants to hear!Smack in the face as I’d specifically booked this one as it was my favourite. Quiet atmosphere and cosy, I live very close to the Chadderton one but decided to go to this one for the cosy Christmas vibes, laughable! Not one person wanted to be there.Booked for Boxing Day and had to leave and pay for food elsewhere as we had waited over an hour for childrens meals and the carvery was worse for wear and needed redoing. Shocking for only 6pm!We want across the road who luckily welcomed us with open arms and brought the food out promptly.Never returning to this Toby, formal complaint has been logged and I will be taking it as far as possible.CCTV needs reviewing on this day, shambles!

Ordered for delivery and surprised at greatly reduced portion size and fact that burnt roast potatoes were literally cold.Items missed off the order too so all in all an absolute waste of £30.Highly recommend avoiding.Shame as used to be really good

Came with my wife and kids on Friday for early tea, was seated right away and drink orders taken as soon as we sat down. Drinks arrived shortly after and our food orders were taken, very quick service. My 3 year old daughter is autistic and wasn’t having a good time as she wanted to run around which obviously isn’t what you want at a restaurant, we had tried everything get her settled at the table which ended in her screaming and crying and we was about to leave but a young man, one of the servers (didn’t get his name unfortunately) he went above and beyond to make my daughter happy and settled, he found her some colouring sheets and crayons, got her a packet of chocolate buttons and even gave her £1 to have a go on the prize machine. He was amazing with her and had he not been there we would have had to leave with an upset 7 year old boy that just wanted a meal out with his family. We tried to leave a tip when paying the bill but he refused to accept. This man deserves all the props!

Not to many people in at that time.Foods always great. But this time the roast potatoes were nearly all small and very well done,my absolute favorite way, as i love them that way,and not keen on big spuds. So that made my day.Nice staff as usual. And you had horse radish hooray lol not had any last 2visits.Cant fault the place.Except for those low old lampshades horrible sorry xxxxxParking: Always get a space .

Waitress who served our drinks was rude. Drinks order was wrong. Glasses were full of water not ice. No apology given. Turkey was dry, beef fatty. The gentleman carving meats was butchering them and gave lumps not slices and left a lot of fat on the plates. Sprouts tasted rotten. Mash was tastless. Standards not as expected. No option for small plate. No longer value for money. No plans to return.

Carvery is of a good standard, meat was juicy and vegetables were fresh. Alot can depend on your timing but so far so good. Staff are always polite and

Visited here for breakfast recently and it was extremely overpriced and of extremely poor quality. When we went up to get our breakfast their was no bacon or sausages and their was a large queue of customers waiting for this. Weatherspoons breakfasts are much cheaper and to a higher
