Have been before and food and service were excellent. Today - (not the same staff!) food OK, service non-existent. Had to remind staff that we had already ordered from the Festive menu; had to go to bar to order further drinks; no-one bothered to ask if we would like dessert (which we both probably would have had) or coffee (which again, we both would probably have had if offered). In a “recession” I would have expected more!

Service good! But did not ask how my partner wanted the rump steak and came out well done, also small. I had the pie which was tasty but at £18 you’d probably expect a bigger pie compared to most pubs.

We visited The Crown and Conspirator for Sunday dinner , we have been several times before and as always we weren’t disappointed. Food , drink and service was exceptional and the staff are fantastic , nothing is too much trouble and they are friendly and engaging . The food portions are large , the Yorkshire puddings are humongous and everything was piping hot . Needless to say we went home full and it won’t be long until we return .
