This was our first time at the Queen Anne. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent with plenty of choice. Even my mum who is 87 and can’t cope with change was very impressed with everything.

The first time everything was fantastic food owner it was that good we went again. We are a group that’s set up I’m checking out pubs that will be good for our meetings I used to be a secret dinner. So I still use the same speel to see how they react. If you click on lowest score reviews you can see my points have been raised with other people.Especially with ethnic minorities. He targeted a lady in our group that was Indonesian. He was rude and whispered things under his breath. I can lip read!!My meal was taken away when I went to the toilet he offered to give me another portion of veg. I don’t want veg on its own I had a few chips left my sauce and all my veg. I said I’ll take a pudding home with me can I have it a £1 cheaper has a good will gesture. He went on about me taking food out of his child’s mouth. WHAT. I had my meal taken away that’s always the best bit.always look at all the reviews. Especially single out the bad ones if a lot are saying the same thing there probably true.

Standards have really improved recently and the place feels relaxed and homely. Staff are friendly and attentive. My wife and I try and visit at least once a week either for a quick drink or evening meal which is always great value for money.

Not been here for years and saw the negative comments. We enjoyed the two course festive lunch which was served promptly and was very nicely cooked. Vegetables cooked and not raw unlike some places. Staff pleasant and we would return.

I ate the Tipsy Lamb so delicious, good portions.Good parking space, no EV availability.Disability accessGood location en- route A580 Liverpool to Manchester at Golborne.Didn't use the toilet.

It's good it's busy but all the best tables were taken found it expensive on a Saturday evening not a good idea having people sitting at the bar that was drinking pubs but I know those people will with out dought go elsewhere if you take their stools away just can't get to all the bar area meals aren't bad we will call again ? ? ?
Food not up to usual standard,pub feels very cold,not pleasant to sit in,it changed since we last went ,needs attention before it loses customers

Went with friends for a Christmas meal / get together on Friday, 3 of us had mushroom pepper pot for starter which was delicious however not hot. 4 of us had Christmas dinner, the turkey and gammon were lovely and the roast potatoes very hot, however carrots and green beans were cold and mash ok. Christmas pudding was hot and delicious. At 9.20 we asked if we could order coffees but was told that the machine had been turned off!!! Paid our bill and left. Very disappointed. ALSO We have been going here for years and this is the second year that we have been FROZEN , eating our meal with scarves on or Coats around us. Sadly don’t think we will be returning. Heating needs sorting. We weren’t the only ones with coats on.

"Food Safety Audit 1 star....not good." (Nov. '23) Such a shame, this was an excellent restaurant in the past. Unfortunately the last meal I had at The Queen Anne was still cooking straight from the microwave, I've never been back since.
