Great food every meal for the five of us was excellent. The waiting staff are the best nothing was too much trouble for them , they wee attentive and very pleasant.

Visited on New years eve the food and service was absolutely amazing the staff are very welcoming friendly. Went upstairs to the function room after our meal the atmosphere was brilliant had a fantastic night.

Absolutely beautiful meal at Summat to ate. I had the Christmas dinner and it was amazing!! Never fail to have a fab meal here we have been numerous times. Rest of family had steak on the hot rock which is a brilliant experience and the meat is perfect, and all for a really good price. Really generous portions too! We will most certainly be back soon! Staff are reallly attentive and are polite and welcoming. Cannot fault this place we love it.

Went for lunch on a very busy and cold December day. I'd been once before and loved it. however, based on experience, many new places let standards slip after a while Not this place. if anything it was even better. Poor service is notorious at Christmas as staff are stretched and often grumpy as the month progresses. However here it was at 10/10 experience. Firstly its a cosy wand warm place. it my experience in cold months the customers are often left chilly as mean owners restrict heating in a Scrooge-like manner. So this is always a good start. The pleasant team are fabulous - and not one-dimensional - as is becoming the norm these days. The food (steaks for us, with starters and desserts) were exceptional and the whole experience was a memorable one. Congrats to the owners. We'll definitely be back. PS I also stupidly left my scarf behind - which the owner kindly posted on to me later.

Superb as always. Christmas Day lunch where the food & service could not have been better. The staff were extremely attentive, pleasant & efficient. The food was fresh, beautifully presented & delicious. The first time we have dined out on Christmas Day & what a treat! The toast served with the pate, smoked salmon & prawn starter, fillet steak, vegetables, Christmas pudding & cheesecake were particularly tasty. However, we would have preferred another couple of pieces of toast & a larger slice of the yule log (or ice cream or cream added) as these were only small portions. Our favourite restaurant never fails to impress. Thank you Summat to Ate, keep up the good work. We hope to be back soon!

Visited on Christmas Eve, yes it was very busy and we did have to wait for our food a little longer than we did in previous years however it was absolutely gorgeous and worth the wait. Couldn't fault the staff, they worked incredibly hard. Thank you for making out night perfect.

Have used this restaurant over the past few years as always been above average. Went yesterday (Sunday) and didn’t enjoy, struggled with the service as in having my order taken and requesting more drinks, staff were more interested in being in their phones behind the bar. Was very noisy with small children screeching, crying and running about. Food was ok but £22 for 1 course is just unacceptable, when I questioned this the very young waiter just replied it is what it is ? Turkey was slightly rubbery and the veg was very very aldente! £75 for 2 courses and 2 drinks has unfortunately priced us away from future visits here.

Being celiac I struggle to find places that do gluten free but this place was very accommodating, they specially made me gluten free garlic bread for my starter. Staff were excellent checking everything was ok. And the fillet steak was cooked to perfection!

First time visit; won't be the last. Food and service was simply outstanding. Group of 16 with varied requirements but all courses served totally in sync even though it was generally quite busy. Very reasonable prices too. First rate.
