It's a complete mystery how a place where so much effort and investment has gone into creating a really great atmosphere is incapable of making even a half decent cup of coffee. My second visit and sadly I won't be going back.

1st visit here with daughters and son in law heard good reviews and it didn't disappoint staff were excellent food was delicious service was perfect. A lovely station pub very busy with people stopping for a few drinks before getting the train onwards. Will definitely go again.Parking: Plenty of parking clearly marked as this is a working station there are designated spaces for people going to the pub and people who will be catching the train.

Great atmosphere and very polite staff , the food was amazing too which is reasonable priced , they also have a mini museum to see some vintage train accessories and information , we will be back again
There are two standout features of this pub that warrant a 5-star rating. Firstly, their full English breakfast, while not the absolute best in the area, is certainly a strong contender, offering a satisfying morning meal. Secondly, their cakes are simply delightful, boasting delicious flavors and generously sized portions. I've visited this pub multiple times just to indulge in these treats. Also, it's dog friendly.

Used to enjoy breakfast here when it first opened. It was quite a treat. If turn up earlier than needed for a train to Manchester and enjoy breakfast first. But now they don't serve breakfast until 10am! What's the point of that? Too late for me. I miss it.

What an absolute find. After lying in dereliction for years, a local community charity set about restoring the station to its former glory and what job they've done. The station is beautiful, inside and out. There's a hidden gem in every nook and cranny. The restaurant staff are superb, the attention to detail outstanding.
