Not about the food as I didn’t actually come here (thank god) but this is a general complaint about the staff here. My 16 year old brother just phoned this branch enquiring about any job opportunities, including washing dishes or serving customers, he is only 16 but absolutely desperate to have the opportunity to work and thought that Bella Italia seemed an approachable and welcoming place to call up, he asked politely, but as soon as he asked a female member of staff put the phone down on him, completely ignoring his question and giving absolutely no response. Our mother called you again and was told by a male member of staff that there is no female staff that work there so therefore the incident with the female employee on the phone never happened and that we must be lying about it. I find this absolutely disgusting as, for one, I know for a fact you have multiple female employees at this branch, as one of them very clearly answered the phone and due to the fact I work at the Lowry and see multiple female members of staff there every single day. Also, completely understandable and fair enough if you have no jobs, but at least have the decency to tell him that and not just go silent and slam the phone down. Absolutely shameful and I will be taking this further. Also, all these calls have been recorded so please don’t attempt to deny it. Thank you.

It was okay...food OK, slow service. The waitress was lovely though, really trying her best.

Firstly the staff were amazing, very friendly and nothing was an inconvenience to them. My food arrived quickly and hot, my drinks arrived quickly and I never had to go dry mouthed. The food was incredible, especially the new Christmas pizza with baked camembert, I was moaning with joy haha. The passion fruit and raspberry semifreddo was also to die for. Overall everything was just amazing

This place was very popular; unfortunately, the food wasn't great, and the service could be improved. Hopefully, the restaurant will do what it can to turn things around.

Always a pleasure. We come here before going to the Lowry for shows, so usually book a table online for 12noon before the matinee at 2pm. We always manage to eat and drink in time, and have a leisurely walk across the plaza to the theatre. The food is always quick, hot and tasty, and we managed to get pudding and coffee in too!The only downside was that as a group of 4, we were on a tiny round table - but we managed just fine. The staff are always helpful and friendly, and we always comment on it

This was our first visit to any Bella Italia & will be our last. First off there was a broken tile which is a trip hazard. We booked a table which was good as it was very busy. They had squeezed people in as it was very close & right. This was also a fire risk as there is only one exit for that amount of people crammed in. Also you could hear any tables around you including the lady who sent hers back as the chicken wasn’t cooked. Our meals were basic meals they couldn’t mess up or so we thought. The pasta was very bland and I left half of it. The staff were always talking when tables needed to be cleared. We were served a white Fanta which we sent back only for our waiter to say It does look strange. We asked for desserts & it took a while for our waiter to come to us. When we asked for our bill we mentioned it would be a card payment. Instead of bringing a card machine over we had to wait and ask someone to make the payment.

The place was nice and clean, it would do with some refresh, but that's not an issue. We got there during the lunchtime deal hours (unintentionally). Lasagna was fine 3/5, fromage pizza was ok. I ordered a simple ham and mushroom pizza, asked for a lot of mushrooms (extra) and this is what I got. I understand that it was a deal time and the prices were lower than usual but com'on! Served with cold blood. Fair enough.

Dropped in without a booking for a quick bite prior to a theatre event over the way. Prompt service, delicious food, and a blue light card discount. If you are in a hurry you can order and pay via a qr code system allocated to each table. Will definitely return if attending an event at The Lowry.Bravo!

Have had a few lovely meals pre theatre at this Bella Italia, food has been lovely each time and very reasonably priced especially the kids eat for a £1 deal. We have been served by Elizabeth on each occassion who has been a delight throughout, this evening we even goofed the order and she was very accommodating saying 'it happens'. Thank you all

Guter Kaffee - sehr nette Bedienung. Pizza not bad either. Good idea to offer half pizza and salad. The rest of the pizza tends to be cold anyway by the time you've finished it. One improvement I'd offer: the "background" music is fat too loud.

Both myself and my husband had a starter, he loved his but mine was like a brick with tomatoes and SOME onions on it - I make it better myself at a fraction of the cost. Also, we ordered 2 calzones which were as flat as a pancake and virtually empty. This restaurant has gone downhill over the last few years and should actually SHUT - not worth spending our month on!

Food was really poor. Worst bruschetta I’ve ever seen - cherry tomatoes sliced in half on a piece of cheap garlic bread. Our mains were even worse. Runny, broken carbonara sauce that was completely tasteless. Other main tasted like a tin of tomatoes mixed with pasta. No flair, no taste, no presentation. Swapped it for a basic Margarita as I didn’t want to ruin the dinner for my girlfriend but pizza was also bad - overdone and bland. No check backs, staff seemed disinterested. Nothing Italian about this place. Save yourself from disappointment and enjoy the meal somewhere else.

Staff are great and very friendly. Our starters were nice (mushrooms & prawns). We both ordered risotto...the seafood and roasted butternut squash. Both dishes were really disappointing, it was such a shame...the rice looked like it had just been boiled in a bag...risotto usually has a creamy consistency...this was boiled rice with a few ingredients mixed in with it, definitely not a risotto...my butternut squash was boiled not roasted and the rosemary was undetectable.

food was bland and my pasta sauce was watery would not recommend going here only good thing was the waitress who was very polite and sadly was the only member of staff actually doing anything.
