If I had to describe this restaurant in one word it would be WOW. Right from the enthusiastic team members, to the ambience and the food, left us speechless. It was my birthday dinner and it had to be special, but I am very skeptical while trying Indian or specifically Bombay style food in the UK because it's quite different from how it should be. But the moment we had the first order Pani Puri, we knew the owners were Indian or would have a Bombay touch or could be south Indian after carefully seeing the menu, and it is true. We tried Pani Puri, Kheema Pao, Chicken Chilly, Malabar Fish Fry, Hakka Noodles and Chicken Haddi Biryani. The only dish that disappointed us was the Hakka Noodles but everything else was 10/10. Will definitely visit again to try the rest of the South Indian dishes. The place is pocket friendly and I mean it. Go and try yourself ?

The best Indian food in town. Highly recommended restaurant if in Manchester. Very polite staff, great service and food is pretty good too.We had family dinner during our holiday in Manchester. Our family favourite were amazing cocktails with crispy okra and fish fry.

One of the fine Indian restaurants in manchester I prefer on regular basis. They’ve got a nice variety of South Indian and North Indian food and what appals me is the soled of the service. You order a dosa and it arrives before you know it.My favourite is the rava masala dosa !And also don’t miss their Mysore filter coffee any day better than the costa even considering their price point.I would go through the hassle of booking a reservation just to go there sit ans enjoy my coffee and walk back home.Lovely staff and a place where your tummy feels you have connected it to a satisfied soul.Vegetarian options: They’ve got a variety of nice dishes for vegetarians such as lentils and vegetables

Food is always great here. I have visited this place thrice now. Its a nice place to have Indian Street Snacks. Service and staff can be more better as they didn’t helped us much in telling about the quantities and details about servings. That can be improved otherwise a nice place for munching.

Really good casual Indian restaurant. Food was excellent and friendly staff. Theme of the place is a good mix between classic and street style.

The Indian Tiffin Room - Indian food that is flavoursome and heartyThank you for the hospitality and service that we received when visiting your Manchester restaurant last Friday for a pre-theatre meal.Food and MenuThe menu is simple and is easy to read. It is good that each category is clearly visible with a group of dishes underneath. For example, Starters, Curries etc. Each dish has a brief description with the price next to it. It is clear with the information that the guest expects to see. There is a great variety of dishes that cater for all types of diner from the Meat lover to the Vegetarian. In the Starters there is a large selection of dishes from the Samosas, Onion Bhajis, Paneer, Chilli Squid, Chicken Lollipops and more. Each comes with a dip and they are great for sharing. In the Mains there are Curry dishes including Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala, Noodles, Chicken Korma and others. There are also meat dishes such as Kebabs etc. Each dish can be complemented with Rice, Naan and Chips. For Dessert there is a good but a small selection of Indian sweets such as Kulfi and Julap. If you are not a fan then you will be disappointed as there are no Chocolate or other types of Dessert. For the Starters the Home Made Samosas were delicious. Warm crisp pastry on the outside with a soft filling of Potato and Peas. Yum. The Chicken Lollipops were scrumptious. It had a battered coating on the outside with soft Chicken on the inside that melted in the mouth. The Chilli Squid was tasty and was moorish. They each came with a dip. They were Mint Sauce, a Spicy one and a Tomato one. The Mint was quite minty and it did not go well with Chicken. I did not have the Spicy one as I do not handle Spice well. I did not mind the Tomato one but it was not my favourite. For the Mains the Butter Chicken Curry was heart-warming and the creamy sauce was comforting to eat. It was also fragrant with spices that added flavour. The Garlic Naan was lovely. It was soft with a bit of a bite on the edges. The Garlic flavour was nice and not strong to overpower the taste. The Rice was cooked perfectly. It was soft and fluffy. It always goes well with a good Curry. The Sweet Potato Fries were a great addition to the meal. They were crispy on the outside with fluffy Sweet Potato on the inside.Dessert was something not of interest here as the options on offer were all Asian style which do not appeal to me both in terms of flavour and texture.DrinksThere is a small selection of Mocktails in addition to the soft drink offering. They include a good variety of flavours including Lychee, Lime, Lemon, Raspberry and more. They are a great way to start a meal and to quench your thirst.I had the Strawberry and Cream. It was refreshing, creamy and fruity which is what you want.ServiceThe service was very good. The waiters and waitresses were friendly, accommodating and attentive. They gave us the time to choose our food and drinks. The food arrived pretty quickly. All the food was cooked fresh and it was beautifully presented.Lighting and AccessThe lighting at this restaurant was decent. We were given a table next to a window and as it was sunny there was enough natural light. The restaurant also had a lovely relaxed ambience which helped to enjoy our meal.In relation to access there is a small step to enter into the building. Everything is on one level with no stairs which is great for people with mobility needs.ParkingParking is available at Q-Park on First Street which is a multi-storey car park behind the Home Entertainment space. The restaurant is just a short walk from there and you are required to pay even if you are a Blue Badge holder.PricingThe price of dishes at The Indian Tiffin Room are reasonably priced and are value for money. If you love Indian food that is tasty, hearty and is full of flavour then The Indian Tiffin Room is the place for you.Vegetarian options: This restaurant has a good variety of Vegetarian dishes. In the Starters there are Samosas, Onion Bhajis, Paneer and others. There are also a range of Veg

We Loved it!If you want truly Indian taste then definitely go for it. You'll love it. We ordered Idli Sambhar, Maysoor Masala Dhosa & Schezwan Prawn's rice. Everything was really delicious. And the staff were so nice and helpful, also the ambience was so good. Pretty good to go on a DATE as well ?. Go and give it a try.

This place does not compromise on flavor; it is a spicy haven squeezed between a hub of bland corporate buildings. Without fail we are always impressed by their Pani Puri, idli & Gobi Manchurian.

How this place is getting 5 star reviews is beyond me, must be very easily pleased people frequenting this venue. I was told " Best Indian in Manchester " from my hotel LOL. They had 'literally' nothing I usually eat from top Indian restaurants around the UK each week, as I visit cites often with my job. To top off my bad experience, some little soft arrogant Indian waiter wearing glasses was rude to me because he didn't like my language, he was lucky I had the Mrs with me on date night or he would have got a crack for his attitude.I'll give you an extra service star for the French waiter who was kind and attentive to both me and the little lady... End result, I would not go back if you paid me to. I've had better Indians from Just Eat ??

Enjoyed my meal very much, but the mandatory 12.5% service charge does not go to the servers, but split between everyone including management. When I asked for the service charge to be removed and for a tip to be added to go directly to the person billing us/our server (who was excellent) I got told this gets split also. Management should not receive tips when the servers and ground staff are doing the heavy work.

Authentic South Indian taste which is very rare to find even in South India!!! The best Poori Masala ever I had in life. Poori was almost oil less, masala was topped with pomegranate and cashews. Service is top notch. They arranged a table for us even though it was fully booked. Make sure to reserve your seat before you go.
