Just got back from an evening meal at Khandoker tonight and we thoroughly enjoyed every bit of our food. The Madras was just the right amount of spice and the onion bhajis were delicious and crispy!!! Everything was full of flavour ?

Called in spontaneously after a trip to the cinema. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated straight away. Service was excellent throughout our visit, food was fresh, delicious & good portions. This was our first visit, and we will definitely be returning.

We visited tonight with my husbands cousin and aunt. Absolutely brilliant. Good service, the most amazing food....so tasty and fresh.......just lovely......we will be visiting again ASAP.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great, efficient service and the food was delicious. We’ve eaten here a few times and it’s always been really good. I’ve deducted a star because of the ‘ loose’ flooring. Every time a member of staff walked behind my chair, which was very frequent, my chair was bounced up and down! Not earth shattering, I know, but very annoying. It was even worse when a customer with big boots stomped down the restaurant. Please get a bag of nails and fix the flooring securely so this doesn’t happen!

Everyone I visit the restaurant the service is fantastic the staff cannot do enough for us. On Xmas day the food was beautiful and the service is perfect me and my husband love going to the restaurant. See you on New Year’s Eve

A long standing family owned restaurant that serves very good food. The food is always fresh and full of flavour. The staff are friendly. My usual go to dishes are Lamb Nomuna & Aloo Saag. They do a very good Shami Kebab as well. And it is excellent value for money in this age of cost of living crisis. It is a treat for the entire family and we keep going back.

Every time over the years we have been to the Khandoker we always have such a lovely warm welcome from the staff, they go above and beyond to accommodate us and the food is amazing.

Bought a lamb dupiaza and it was completely flavourless. The Garlic naan I bought to go with it had more about it. Won't be back.

Ordered and they forgot the rice, waited nearly 2 hours, curry didn’t have any meat in when I asked for a lamb madras, chips was stone cold and tasted reheated, how dumb can you be to get a simple order wrong? There IQ score is 12 and that’s between them. Nothing but rude down the phone.
The Khandoker is a Manchester institution; one of its oldest Indian restaurants and still one of its best. My godfather brought me to the Khandoker as a boy for my first ever taste of Indian food – he had been coming since the 1970s – and I go whenever I can when I'm back in Manchester. Recently, when my godfather was dying and expressed regret he couldn't go the Khandoker again, I contacted them, and they not only remembered him, but packed up a meal for me to take to him, free of charge, which was a lovely touch for us at a difficult time. A great restaurant!

This restaurant provided food for a large house party for our son’s 21st birthday in Withington. We chose them based on other reviews on trip advisor and they did not disappoint. Fresh and tasty meat and vegetable curries, lovely fluffy rice and yummy nan and the samosas melted in the mouth. Delivery was on time and well presented and enough food for everyone to have seconds which they did. Everyone loved the food. Good communication throughout - we would recommend Khandoker to anyone needing reliable catering.
