Absolutely terrible…. The app was slow, I ordered food from Mummas….. it never came…. So after 40mins, I complained , got a refund for the food, and then ordered a pizza…. And that never came….. so I’ve spent 1.5 hours starving and left….. absolutely awful experience

We called in here early on a Thursday evening and we're quite surprised. There's no doubt the place has character and offers some great food options, but it really did seem expensive. In fact, it seemed almost restaurant prices for what is really an informal dining experience that probably wouldn't last too long. there's a great variety of food and drink for all so if you want something different and quick, maybe it is the place for you.

Popped in for a quick bite before going to the frog and bucket and had the best tacos and cups of tea in the best china I've seen. A great introduction into Manchester for my friend who was visiting from out of town. Great options, gorgeous building and the app is brill and there's some really good food options here. Ive had brunch here and drinks before and each time I visit, I end up coming back and introducing more people.

Excellent location and setup, great food and drink. Defiantly one to visit at any time, there a lot of choice for everyone and you just order from the website via QR and the food and drink arrives.

I do not usually leave bad reviews. If I had a bad experience, I would just simply not go back. However, following the dismissive and unapologetic attitude shown by the manager during a dinner session last night (6:30pm, 26th October, 2023), my girlfriend and I feel a poor review is justified. We had ordered food at 6:43pm and by 7pm all but one plate of food had arrived. As this establishment runs on the basis multiple kitchens make the food, naturally the dishes all arrive at slightly different times. By 7:15pm however, all the food had been eaten apart from a bowl of Ramen. It had still not been delivered to the table 30 minutes after ordering it. My girlfriend and I decided to wait another 10 minutes for her food to arrive, just in case it was an overly busy session and there was a back-up of orders. 40 minutes after placing the order, we caught the attention of a staff member. We explained the situation, showed the order number, which he replied “that’s strange” considering “we aren’t very busy”. He then went to investigate. 5 minutes later, with no follow-up from any member of staff, we happened to unknowingly catch the managers attention. We asked about the issue, to which he stated “oh yes it was ticketing issue so it never went through to the kitchen”. Of course mistakes happen. But we were surprised there was no apology from the manager - which we thought was strange considering we had to follow-up for a second time for an explanation on where the food was. It made us wonder that if we had never questioned where the food was, would we have sat there all night?? 7 minutes later, now 52 MINUTES after the original order was placed, a staff member we hadn’t spoken to before handed us the food. Again, we thought this was strange as considering it had been ALMOST AN HOUR, we assumed the manager would have personally delivered it with a sincere apology on his behalf. With no appetite left, we asked if we could speak to the manager. He then came over and asked what was wrong. We explained, firstly that all the other food had been eaten 30 MINUTES ago. Secondly it had taken over 50 MINUTES for this food to be delivered. Finally, we would still have been sat there without the food, if we had not questioned its whereabouts. The managers reply - “Well it’s not been an hour has it.” We genuinely could not believe his response. So inquisitively, we asked whether an hours wait time was the cut off point at which we could ask for a refund. Again, his reply “well I think an hour is fair”. An hour. He stated than an hour is an appropriate time limit for your food to arrive by. We just could not believe this completely dismissive, unhelpful and unapologetic attitude. Bearing in mind, we would have never got the food if we had carried on waiting without questioning the competence of both the ordering system and the manager. After 52 minutes, speaking to 3 separate staff, we could not believe they did not offer anything in gratuity - however small as a way of saying sorry - whether that be 2 drinks on the house, a percentage off a next visit or even a partial refund. NOTHING. Just a manager who could not understand our issue, no matter how much we explained the situation. He evidently just didn’t think our business was worth keeping. An ignorant decision, and one which we are deeply saddened by. As Manchester residents, we will now be recommending people give Mackie Mayor a miss for poor service on the managers behalf.

What a building! Renovated to a high standard. The glass roof lets in loads of natural light making the space feel very spacious. We have been here before but not for ages. There are lots of different food vendors available, italian pizza, chicken, asian bao, mexican tacos etc. We opted for the New Wave Ramen place which was delicious. Not a massive wait time even though it was extremely busy. We will be going again for the atmosphere alone.

Brilliant space in central manchester. Get there early to get a sea as it fills up fast! There’s a great bar and so many good places to eat (I loved the pizza). You can download an app to order food and they bring it to the table.

Expensive drinks and food that doesn't live up to expectations Eighteen quid for what was quite simply burger and chips Will not be returning just a rip off !

Lovely building, disappointing experience with food, Mummas chicken wings are awful, got a refund, very poor chicken. Chilli B overpriced and overload veggie dishes with a poor quality tofu. Total.waste of money.

It reminds you of a space where several pop up outlets landed at the same time. been here a couple of times recently and depending on how busy then the table scan get left for a while with previous customer debris. Some do take their rubbish away but, these days, most just leave it. And probably are the first to complain of no clean tables next time !

Right up my street! Quirky, light and airy, buzzing and the food was ace (Pico’s Tacos). Highly recommended. It’ll be the first stop off on my next visit to Manchester.

Sat outside, tables were dirty and sticky. Tried to clean it but napkins just stuck to it. No staff around to ask for a cloth Pizza was good but the jacket fries were so expensive for what was two tiny potatoes cut in half. Iced latte was around 8oz for £3.60, lemonade was served warm without ice. There was an overwhelming smell of excrement that kept wafting past us. Assume this was from the drains? Overall was very disappointing and wouldn't visit again

Mixed experience, once sat we had to clean our own table, then download the app which didn't work.. Went to the website and that worked. Chose a pizza and a buffalo chicken burger. Chose the burger because the ingredients were clear of chilli and jalapeños. It was listed as buffalo sauce and blue cheese sauce When it arrived it was smotherd I. Red buffalo sauce. I know know its a sirrachi based hot sauce.. which really didn't agree with me.. Had to leave it as wasn't worth ruining the rest of my day.. Too few staff to raise the issue with and not clear menu description Wont return.

Lively food hall with various vendors offering different kinds of food and drinks. Be prepared to share tables. We managed to get seats at a long "counter" upstairs overlooking the ground floor. Downside to this is we had to carry our food and drinks up the staircase. Otherwise it's convenient - there's lots of choices for everyone to choose from.
