Booked last minute for a catch up with a friend. We both really enjoyed our visit. Great welcome and service. We really enjoyed the food and will definitely be back. Good value and I highly recommend it!

Read about the food on the MEN article so decided to give it a try, and can honestly say that it’s one of the best curries we have ever had, starters were spot on and sides were delicious. My wife is so so about spicy food but was mopping up the sauce with the naan bread so I know it was good. Deffo telling all my mates and deffo will be back. Well done Tyldesley for another great food establishment opening.

Me and my wife went for food. It was amazing quality and lovely atmosphere since the new owners have come in. We're definitely going to go again and make this one of our go to places to eat. Had the butter chicken and chicken madras and both were lovely.

Absolutely gorgeous food! Been wanting to go for a while and it did not disappoint. My favourite off the menu were the onion bhajis! Fantastic food it honestly was. Can't wait to go back ??

Amazing food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. The curries were amazing, so full of flavour and the perfect amount of spice. We can't wait to return and try more of the dishes! :)

Since re-opening with Ale and Aloo the Gatehouse has been amazing. We've been several times and each time the food, staff and atmosphere was top notch. The small plates are all full, and I mean full, of flavour and the butter chicken is next level.... Highly recommended.

The food was cold, nothing like any Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to, some dishes were more like pizzas, lots of drinkers swearing so it felt like a boozer, not a restaurant, I wouldn’t take my family, we couldn’t wait to leave
Called in for a drink and ended up staying for an amazing meal. Was Suprised to find an Indian Restaurant inside a normal neighborhood pub. Food and Service excellent. Staff are very good and friendly. Hopefully as time progress the Menu options will expand. All in all a great experience.

Returned after a long absence due to hearing good things about new managers.Pleasantly surprised! Original menu, Asian infused as per the name.Mrs had 3 small plates whilst I had one of the curries.Mrs commented on the Samosas pastry not being as expected, more thicker like shortcrust. Otherwise, all good & very tasty.My curry was excellent, spices & chilli level just right for me. Portions generous, too!We were that impressed, we have booked to try the Sunday dinners!Give it a try?

Absolutely shocking. The woman behind the bar seems she has given up on life and had the manners of a 16 year old brat. I asked if I could see the menu and had a warm response of 'They're on the tables' even though they weren't. Unfriendly and rude. The food took over 1 hour to come when it was a simple curry that I had ordered. Will not be going back

Great twist on the usual pub offerings, and with a warm welcome from Xavier and Evelina. Food was nicely presented, arrived hot and freshly made. Fantastic flavours, especially the lamb tacos, the chicken biryani and masala fries. There’s something on the menu that everyone will like. Will definitely be back to try out some of the other dishes.
