“Delighted to see that our favourite bolt hole has started to serve delicious focaccias to help soak up the wine and beer! Highly recommend the ‘Claudia’ a bespoke ‘50 bob butty’ - the most scummy freshly baked rosemary focaccia stuffed to the gunnels with pastrami, manchego cheese, hummus, sun dried and fresh tomatoes, olives and rocket! Fab combo that will draw us in again time after time - well done Claudia - what a taste invention!?”

“Erst offers a small menu designed for sharing. There were 3 of us and we shared 9 of the 12ish dishes available. Everything we ate was delicious with particular mention going to the flatbread with tomatoes, the beetroot with ajo blanco, the lamb ragú and the onglet steak. For dessert the fig panna cotta was as good as it gets. We had a very good bottle of wine recommended to us by the charming, knowledgeable enthusiastic waiter and our bill came to £50 a head including tip, which bearing in mind the fantastic experience we had is in my opinion excellent value. The only possible negative is a wine list full of natural wines, which I think you need to be quite adept at navigating to avoid a disappointing experience .”

“Quality hang out. Very relaxed, great to sit outside by the canal in better weather. Organic wines by the glass or bottle and a great variety of craft beer, including some rarities; on our visit a couple of Mills blends and a stray bottle of Cantillon Drogone.”

The staff are welcoming friendly and attentive, the food is delicious they do a lunch special offer just over £15 for 3 tapas we normally order 6 between us which is plenty, the meatballs and calimari are two of our favorites.”

“Me and my partner came here for brunch. The food was amazing, I had the veggie breakfast and my partner had the American breakfast. Really enjoyed the atmosphere in the restaurant, although, it was very quiet. Staff were really friendly and service was really quick”
