As a southerner I was informed by my northern Mrs to try proper fish and chips when up north and this place did not disappoint. The Mrs had cod, chips, mushy peas, gravy and scraps. I went for haddock, chips and gravy. Everything was delicious and the batter was perfectly crisp and hands down this place beats any chip shop I’ve been to down south. Highly reccomend

The servers were very friendly and gave me additional sauce for no charge. It was a decent fish and chips but I am still trying the pubs around the city for a better version of this British staple. I was quite disappointed with the fries as it could be more crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. I have tasted much better chips in the pubs.Tip: Order the Cod. The hake is tough.

Popped into the chippy early evening on Sat. 2nd March as my mate and I needed a bit of grub and I remember being more than happy on my previous visits. We were fortunate enough to find a space to sit down inside and eat our fish, chips and peas and we were more than pleased with our purchase ... especially the light batter on the fish! The staff were really friendly too. Thumbs up from me! Thank you.
