I got John Dory'd, it was good. My accomplice was treated to the steak of the tuna, it oozed tuna juice. Delicious. I can highly recommend the vinho nino verde. To finish me off, the chef provided breaded butter pudding with curded cream. It filled'eth.I will be returning for more. Charmita!

Best local meal we have had in a while. Lovely atmosphere, attentive & friendly waitress and beautiful food. My mussels were lush but my husband’s John Dory was even better. First visit to The Fisherman’s Table but definitely returning soon for another meal.

I was really looking forward to a lunch today after checking the website said it was open after phoning yesterday to book thrlere was no reply but everything said it was open .when we arrived after paying for the car park it was closed. Please update your website then we wouldn't have wasted a trip.

Wow. Last night was incredible. I came with 4 plus a baby. It’s always very good, but this visit was insane, probably the best seafood I’ve had for a long time. Thankyou so much. So relaxed. No stress . And the best Jon dory ever ?

We had high expectations after hearing so many wonderful things about the restaurant and the oysters to start did not disappoint. They were by far the highlight of the meal! Scallop starter didn’t ‘wow’ and the chicken and ham terrine was dry and tasted like one big lump of turkey. The bread that accompanied was delicious. On to the mains: salmon was delicious but the brussel sprouts were burnt. The mussels were really nice too and the sauce very tasty. Cooked to perfection with a taste to match was the John Dory however, the sauce/bisque was a massive let down as it had no taste and the prawns were overcooked and rubbery. Puddings were average. What really was disappointing was that as we were eating and enjoying ourselves, the service staff were making up place settings for the following day on the table across from us. I understand that this prep needs doing and if the staff have nothing to do then they should be kept busy but not on the restaurant floor during service.

Love it here. Some of the best seafood around. I usually have the lobster when it’s on the menu. It’s the best I’ve ever had. There’s plenty more to choose from though. Food is locally sourced and they also have a selection of meat and poultry from their own farm.

This is a small restaurant, it may not look like a gourmet restaurant but they are freaky focused on the food. We had three different meals and all of us was very satisfied. If I return to Marple I'll sure be back.
