Perfect local pub. Family friendly, great atmosphere, warm welcome and so, so friendly. Great range of beers and spirits and an unrivalled juke box. Large room for functions with djaying facilities and in the summer there are plenty of tables outside with beautiful views over the green and beyond, all the way to Winter Hill in Horwich. Thank you for making us feel at home. Lots of laughs and a great day/night. Stayed far too long! Will definitely return again and again and again! :-)

A top notch pub with a great choice of drinks and the type of friendly atmosphere that's really hard to find nowadays ! ??? If you happen to stroll in alone and you'll find friendly bar staff.. and locals happy have a chat and make you feel welcome ! With a large best room / Function room.. Two pool tables , Sky Sports and a fantastic Jukebox box .. It’s Perfect for a get together with friends or family or just a solo visit ! ?????

Amazing community centered, family (and dog!) friendly pub. The bar staff are fantastic and you are always greeted with a friendly smile. Great selection of drinks that are reasonably priced, and the best 2 pool tables in Oldham! I have had functions at the pub and received so many positive comments from family and friends that had not visited before.

I really cannot say enough nice things about the Northgate. To start it's right in the centre of sholver, As soon as you walk I you are welcomed by a smile from either Suzy, Kev , Gemma or Kayleigh. I normally like a named beer such Carling or Guinness. The Northgate have holts own beer with it being Cystal or Trailblazer which I actually belive is better than Carling and Guinness there very very nice and reasonably priced. I have been to several events from Bonfire nights to birthday parties there we even met Santa there. To Kev and all the staff please keep up all the good work.
