Gorgeous food, lovely staff, wonderful aesthetic and atmosphere. Coffee is excellent too. One of our favourite places to go with friends and our little family.

This is the kind of place that you look for when you go to those smaller villages on holidays. It's quaint, has really good quality food and is very fairly priced. If you would like a dining experience that's bustling but not busy, cosy but not cramped and homely without hectic give it a try some time.

Stopped by for coffee and lunch. Good coffee and BLT, with a number of options for the bread, brown, white or sourdough. Friendly staff and also dog friendly.

Lovely place to stop off for brunch or just cake and coffee. Not a fan of the Mexican beans that came with breakfast prefer just regular beans but that's my preference other than that food was

Not usually one to write reviews but today was exceptional. Always great good, service etc.Today I went in late afternoon with my friends after returning from a hospital appointment. I was tired and hungry. I ordered Welsh rarebit on toast only to be told apologetically a few minutes later that unfortunately the kitchen was closed now. Disappointed, but I understood and I agreed to have a scone. My friend explained that I was recovering from knee surgery etc etc and a couple of minutes later the lovely guy came back to tell me that they were going to make what I wanted in the kitchen. They were all smiling. Such kindness going over and above. I was so so touched. Thank you, to all concerned. What fab staff you are. And the Welsh rarebit and egg was delicious.Kindness really does make the world go around.Ten stars all roundJacqui ?

DONT COME if you are alone, non-white. The customer service is not welcoming. I don’t recommend and not coming again. They lost me as a customer.

A good atmosphere, people there with well behaved dogs and children ha.It’s nicely decorated and put me in mind of an old school hall or community centre.I was kindly given a voucher for my birthday so went for afternoon tea. Very pricey and loads of it, the staff even said they had never known anyone finish it. I would have been happy with a cheaper priced and fewer cakes and sandwiches so that I could perhaps finish it.I had never been before and was surprised to find that they have been open a while because the service seemed like the staff were having teething problems. I would definitely have returned in the future if it was all new but seeing as they are established and still having issues that should have been ironed out with training at the start of setting up their business makes me wonder if I will ever return (I doubt it).The staff couldn’t make their mind up if it is table service or counter service. When asked what tea they had we were told “all of them”. No menus given so I used my phone to look up on their website at what teas they had.An impressive display of sandwiches and cakes came to our table and I swear other customers had food envy. Now I have taken afternoon tea in many places and for various prices and the one thing that they did on every occasion is explain what everything is but not here. We knew what we were eating upon tasting it.We were told to ask for hot water to top up the tea when we wanted it. We asked someone who said they would bring water and then didn’t. I eventually got up to ask at the counter who said they would bring it over, they did but it wasn’t enough for the two of us so I had to get up and bring more myself. My biggest criticism (and the reason I thought it was teething problems that they were having) is that nobody appeared to be working the room. By that I mean scanning the tables to clear them. The biggest no no for me in any restaurant, cafe, bar or pub is when the customer has to clean their own table before they can eat their food. The people next to us went to the counter for the cloth and spray to clean up before their food was ordered. No No… definite No No.The staff there are lovely, very polite but I think they could do with some strong leadership, I reckon they work hard but don’t work smart. My reviews are usually positive and upbeat and it’s taken me a while to decide to write a review for here but Google maps kept asking me to.Go along, enjoy it but I doubt very much that I will ever return.Wheelchair accessibility: I couldn’t see any access for a wheelchair user as I only saw steps. That’s not to say that there isn’t another entrance but often in old or historic buildings there isn’t.
