First visit and we loved it. The food was excellent, the service was excellent., lovely sized restaurant with the right atmosphere. If I had to critisize anything I’d say the service was little too quick not much time to rest between courses, but it’s busy they’ll want to maximise the tables Will we visit again? 100%

Unfortunately, I thought this was one of the last few establishments in this town that kept the so called drug dealing, porn star martini drinking, diagonal man purse wearing, late 20s / early 30’s gangster ‘want-to-Be’s’ that talk in strange made up accents, OUT. They constantly used the word Cu*t, they were spitting yes!!! Spitting and Grebbing (there no other word to describe it ) from their table over the balcony whilst me and my girlfriend were trying to enjoy a lovely, expensive (it’s not the money that’s the issue here just to be clear) dinner, with a table of respecting old ladies on one side of this group and a family with young children on the other. I had to be asked to be moved inside away from them but unfortunately the other customers were too polite and had to eat their meals with this disgusting behaviour. It’s a shame as I have eaten here many times in the past and have spent a lot of money here but I will never step foot in the door again. It’s sad how a minority of ill mannered, uncouth clientele can ruin an evening for everyone else. Very disappointed to say the least. This is the first time I’ve ever left a review i eat out most nights, and this was just simply disgusting…….

We visit here fairly often, as we live locally but we have recently had two disappointing experiences that means we wont be returning. On a previous visit I had the seafood pasta which has been my go to dish but on this occasion it arrived dripping in oil. When I mentioned this to waiter I was told that this is how the dish is. But having had this this dish on several occasions I knew that wasn’t the case but I wasn’t offered an alternative and pretty much was told tough luck. However Our meal tonight has driven me to write a review which I wouldn’t normally do. My husband ordered the meatball pasta and within a few bites he said the meat didn’t taste very fresh. We all tried it and it tasted and smelt like it was well past its use by date. We told the lovely waitress and she said she would take it back to the kitchen. But no one returned to talk to us nor was an apology given. The table was cleared and the bill arrived. The male ‘Italian’ waiter was actually very rude when we were paying. Although The meal with the bad meat was taken off the bill I’m disappointed that an apology wasn’t given or reflected further in the bill. sulargos served sub- standard food tonight and their customer service approach to resolving this was extremely poor.

Had really high expectations as we were recommended by a colleague but service was poor from the outset, quite careless with cutlery. Then when my partner ordered a steak the sides were all dropped to the side. The pasta I had Rigatoni Dapice was extremely greasy, I had to move my pasta to one side for it to be edible, and there was a whole layer of grease on top. Prices are premium but the food and service most definitely isn’t. Took ages for the card machine to come when we were ready to pay. Wish we would have taken pictures to show everyone but was such a disappointing experience we just wanted to leave asap. Am under the impression this is a popular place in Oldham but I guess anyone who has had authentic Italian food would regconize this restaurant couldn’t be any further from that.

The service was bad, the waitress just threw the cutlery wildly and when serving the potatoes he dropped some on the table. The food itself was mediocre and it was expensive. We had to ask several times for the bill and the waitress kept forgetting about it. Overall very disappointed never going back. Not recommended at all as not worth your time or money.

Been here quite a few times over past couple of years. Place is always extremely busy and a really good vibe. Food has always been excellent and really good taste. I'd say its slightly on the expensive side compared to other Italians however still a good menu. Feel the only slight thing that let's this place down is the staff can be quite abrupt and make you feel rushed and can sometimes seem as if they not interested. However on the whole good. Will go again but will try different one first unless it's an invited occasion. Car park is large and has over flow altho can get quite full.I'd always recommend booking in advance.

Been Visiting Sul Lago for years and despite the arrogance of the owner (male), who thinks he's doing you a favour for allowing you to be eating there, have had many an enjoyable time there. However, on our recent visit, we arrived approx 30 mins prior to our reservation and, as we have done in the past, sat down for pre meal drinks in the bar. For the full 30 mins, a male member of staff continued to stare at my wife and I, almost forcing the fact that he wanted us to take our seat at our table. It even got to the point where he walked to our table, grabbed our glasses and started to walk away to the dining area before I told him we weren't booked in for another 10 minutes and we'd like to finish our drinks. The food, was, as always, very good, however, it was fast food. Starters, were quickly followed by mains and the meal was done within 45 mins. Sometimes a change is as good as a rest. Something that would help us keeping the boss man away from the dining room, his arrogance is infuriating.

I'm afraid this place is all fur coat and no knickers. We visited recently for my brothers birthday. We ordered drinks at the bar and chatted with the barman a bit, before being seated.Everyone ordered starters apart from two of us as we wanted to save room for desert, everyone who ordered enjoyed their starters; unfortunately, the night was all down hill from there. For main I ordered the filet steak in black pepper, cream and brandy sauce - medium rare. The steak came medium-well and the sauce was mediocre at best, I'd say the quality is close to what I'd expect at Wetherspoons. My partner ordered the creamy linguine with king prawns, crab claw meat, garlic and lemon juice, it was also mediocre, the pasta was a bit too "al dente" and the dish wasn't exactly popping with flavour. The wait staff passed us many times as we sat with empty glasses, I asked one of that waiters for a glass of lemonade which never arrived, I had to prompt the wait staff myself (again) to get another round of drinks for the table, including a £6 bottle of wine marked up at 500% (we looked it up).For desert I ordered the melt-in-the-middle fondant flambeed in Sambuca, the dish was delivered to the table by some guy who decided it was a good idea to play with my food for five minutes before I was permitted to dig in, he poured over and flambeed the Sambuca and stirred it into the sauce for me, a very pretentious and unnecessary show. What I can only assume to have been a Heinz chocolate fondant had been microwaved for a tad too long, as it was not melt-in-the-middle at all. The anise flavour of the Sambuca did not compliment the chocolate sauce at all, as I had suspected, but figured I'd give it a go anyway.I contemplated not leaving a tip by my partner forced me to leave one, so I begrudgingly left a small tip of around £13.The view was lovely.
