Really surprised at just how good it is! Huge menu selection and definitely something for everyone. Service was really good and the staff were really friendly. Portions were huge but we found a gap for a piece of delicious key lime pie! We will definitely be back.

Visited for the first time this evening. We booked a table earlier today and the restaurant was full with a steady stream of guests arriving and leaving during our stay.We ordered a shared starter and main meals each, we all had one drink each and a milkshake each to take home with us.The food was served quickly and was really tasty. The staff were all really lovely. We'll be back again soon!

We went on a Friday and ended up sitting near the door which wasn't so great as this place attracts families with young children who are running in and out constantly and are incapable of shutting the door whilst their parents ignored them and sat drinking. Service quite good, food very average and salty. Won't be bothering going again

Me and a couple of mates went here for the first time last weekend and we all agreed it's one of the best places we have been for food. Only problem was choosing what to have, because everything on the menu sounded so good. Very generous portions, melt in the mouth meat, and loads of flavour. We can't wait to go back! Whilst we opted for beers the cocktail menu sounds ace, too. And will definitely be trying next time. My only slight criticism would be the staff could be more attentive for asking for more drinks or getting the bill. It was pretty quiet when we went, and once we had finished our first beer, we wasn't asked if we wanted a drink, or if the food was okay, etc. Staff were super friendly, though!

The second time in a week we've been here. The first time I had the texan burger, which was "ok" but I much prefer smashed patty burgers these days but it was well cooked and the dirty fries were great. The biscoff milkshake was insanely good though and arguably the best milkshake I've ever had. This week I've gone for the oink burger, the pulled pork is superb, the pork belly next level and the ribs on another planet. I will almost certainly get ribs next time! The Hangman wings are absolutely insanely hot. To put this into perspective I could only manage 2 of the 5. I love hot stuff and normally places with challenges I don't think are ever "that hot" but these were absolutely insane. Eye watering, nose tingling, fire breathingly hot. Proper insanity level hot! I think you get the drift ♨️??Service is always good, lots of choices of drinks both alcoholic and none, and the biscoff cheesecake was fantastic (creme brulee next on the hit list though!) great value too, highly recommended! Forgot to take more pictures due to my keenness to get stuck in ?

Came here for an anniversary meal as we have been putting it off for ages. We had talked about this place for a long time but I was a bit weary about it. How wrong was I. The minute I walked in, it reminded me of a genuine American BBQ place and the themeing of the place was top notch. The Mrs ordered a pulled cheese and shredded pork sandwich and that came with chips. It was outstanding. I ordered the smoked pork belly and it was so good. It wasn't too smokey, it was just right. I thought the 2 slices wouldn't be enough but it was more then filling. As a side we got onion rings and they were also very good. It was so much better than I thought it would be and for an hour, it felt like I was in America somewhere down route 66. I would definitely recommend this place and I will be back again soon. The price was reasonable too. It cost roughly £40 and that was with 2 large soft drinks.

Incredible food! No complaints! Great staff, great service and good value for money. Portion size was really good too. Will be back, hopefully have room for pudding next time!

First time here tonight, invited by friends, two of whom do the live music once a month. We will be back. The atmosphere is relaxed and the as the evening moves on and booze flows, energetic and fun, with dancing and singing. The food is excellent, big portions and well made. Lucky enough to meet Mark, one of the owners, due to our friends, a real character. All In all an excellent night.

Excellent hidden gem in Hollinwood, Oldham. American style tex-mex food. Amazing quality food, hefty portions and cooked to perfection. Had the biggest burger they did, "The taste of Texas" and loaded brisket fries. Also nachos to share. All great and would definitely recommend to anyone. The decor is very cool as well, giving you that authentic Texas BBQ feel.

We booked a 1630 setting on a Friday afternoon because one of our party is hard of hearing and did not want to be around when the live music kicked in at around 1900. Shame, but he was our guest, so my wife and I (reluctantly) acquiesced. A late afternoon setting is perfect for and more popular with families. The outdoor seating and play area is an added bonus if you have energetic young kids in tow. I have travelled regularly and annually to the US for the past 30 years, and spent much of that time in Texas. Since moving to the UK a decade ago I have tried many "American BBQ" restaurants in this country, but never found one that could claim to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with those of the US. The Old School Bus is the exception. The generous and very reasonably priced smoked meat servings are as tasty and as tender as anything you'll find in the US, in particular the beef brisket, pork belly and pork belly ribs. Quality meats cooked to absolute perfection. The owner, and gentleman responsible for these offerings from heaven is a true pitmaster, his meat-smoking skills honed after years of training in Texas, the spiritual home (in my humble opinion) of what we refer to commonly as "American BBQ", despite the fact meat-smoking is as old as mankind, its history going back 2 million years to the time humans first "discovered" fire. But enough history. I have recommended The Old School Bus to at least five US nationals (inc. two Texans) since I first visited a year ago, and every one of them responded with a "thumbs up" A+ rating. Give it a try (as a family or a couple or a group of friends). The restaurant caters for all ages, sits beneath a large environmentally controlled marquee. Seating is modern rustic but comfortable. And don't be put off by the less than salubrious industrial looking lot on which this truly award-winning smokehouse stands. And one last point. Great selection of beers, wines and cocktails!
