Unfortunately, it was very quiet on the evening we visited and therefore lacking in atmosphere. The food was good though and the staff were extremely polite and friendly.

Lovely, warm pub - gorgeous food and surroundings, will come back on a nice day as the views must be spectacular ! Great service, friendly & welcoming ??

After a long walk we were disappointed not to be able to sit in the warm bar and were secluded to the cold farm shop because we had a small dog with us! Considering were this pub is located, you'd think they'd be more accommodating. Won't be stopping again and definitely not spending any money in the farm shop.

Lovely and warm on a cold winters night excellent food ?

Went on a cold winters day and it was very inviting to see the wood fires and the fantastic views. The waiter was experienced and attentive without being intrusive which is always refreshing. We both had fish and it was hearty and fresh. Good attention to detail and way beyond the effort you would go to for an average home cooked meal. Shared an ice cream desert and it was well presented and quality food. Had deep fried whitebait starter, sea bass and fisherman's wife's pie. Would definitely return so keep up the standard!

Lovely cosy pub and the food was excellent, we had the sharing platter from the farm shop which was really good value and delicious, the lady serving us was really nice and took the time to chat to us, which made us feel very welcome.

This is not the first time we have visited this establishment and it amazes us how good it is. The food drink and service were all first class. We took our grandchildren today and they loved it. We will be back.

We visited today first time in years looking for a new place to have a Sunday roast. It is a nice restaurant with calm atmosphere and we like the views. But I was not impressed with the food. While the beef was nicely cooked the whole meal was very bland and tasteless. The gravy looked like from a packet and whoever thought that sweetcorn is a good veg for Sunday roast? The veg which was just boiled added nothing to the whole meal.

Food expensive. Ordered sunday lunch expected fresh. Food was dry like it was microwaved..not at all happy expected good quality at the prices. Wont be returning. Stay away if you want good home cooked fresh food. After speaking to manager he said nothing he could do as i ate the food, no offer of discount or anthing. Absolute disgrace for the money

Late afternoon visit after a walk. Dog friendly, old style local bub with a farm shop attached.Great food, service and atmosphere, would recommend to most but not a rowdy town establishment.

Starters were good, service was good, liver and onions good, chicken ham and veg pie not good , about the size of a Hollands meat and potatoe pie not much filling or taste, soggy veg...disapointed.

Excellent fish and chips, highly recommended. Staff are friendly and attentive and the views of the hills are an added bonus.

What a wonderful place With a amazing views! Great atmosphere, lovely cosy pub with great staff, specially Tanya who was amazing putting up with 4 boisterous oldies, so friendly and professional. The food was superb, beautifully cooked to perfection and we also enjoyed a pint or two of Madonna’s favourite ale. Would strongly recommend to anyone - faultless! ?
