Absolutely wonderful bar - undoubtedly the pride of Rochdale. Really good selection of beers, friendly, knowledgeable bar staff and a great crowd. Plenty of space to sit and chat, a great menu and while I can’t speak for the ladies, the gents bathrooms are a surprisingly innovative. I will say no more and leave it to you to find out for yourselves.

Food good. Service depending on time of day is fair. Later on weekend nights can be noisy in a good way. Very accessible for anyone in wheelchair.Vegetarian options: Guest was piscatarian and catered for all her needs

Great venue in the heart of Rochdale with a lovely view of the Town Hall. On entry we didn’t get a hello or any acknowledgment from staff. We made our way over to the bar where staff were chatting amongst themselves. Staff then took our order and we paid. The bar girl hardly spoke to words to us. Waitress walking around the venue was chatty and polite

It's a really nice bar to sit and chat with a good variety and fairly priced drinks. Bar Staff weren't very friendly or even smiled at you on the bar but I would still return as it was a nice place inside to sit and have a chat.

We were served by Niamh, who was friendly and courteous and did everything to make us welcome - including indulging my friend’s request to serve her vodka in a ‘gin style fishbowl’. Steak sandwich and chips was huge. Tasty peppercorn sauce. A bit on the expensive side, but two of us shared. Good value wine list.

We had my daughter's baby shower at The Medicine Tap and it was amazing. The food was so good and the staff went out of their way to make sure we all had a great time. If you want to hold a small get together for up to 30 people I can't recommend The Medicine Tap enough. Thank you to all the staff for their hospitality!

Lovely upmarket bar, nice ale, nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
Great bar, drinks and staff, enjoyed the visit here, wish we'd had time for food as seeing what other customers had, it looked yummy.
Great atmosphere and a great selection of beers, they also advertise coffee and cocktails but I've not tried any.
