The Devonshire is one of a few places that will allow large groups (16 when we go as a family) and genually happy to host you. The food is great, the selection is not huge but you can expect the usual pub grub with a nicer twist.Excellent all round.

I've not been here for a very long time ( years) . I was very impressed with the staff on how welcoming and friendly they were, also asked if there were any allergies ,intolerances when ordering - NEVER been asked this anywhere before !!! The food was really nice & hot . We hadn't booked, but we were found a nice table near the bar ,plenty of room not cramped. Definitely be back!!

Had a great meal, delicious food, fast friendly service and highly recommend.My mum was impressed by the ‘crispy’ slow roast belly pork, the best she’d had for a while. Other recommendations were the chicken schnitzel and the chicken, bacon and mushroom linguine.

Recently had a family dinner at the Devonshire Arms in the run up to Christmas. We enjoyed a lovely meal and the service was fairly good considering how busy the place was. The portions were good as well and the food was very acceptable. If I had to mention anything, it would be that we left after it had gone dark and the car parks are unlit. Several customers trying to reverse out of the car park at the same time as others were arriving, all in the dark. If a few security or floodlights were installed, it might make this easier and safer at the same time. This is intended as a suggestion rather than a criticism of the Devonshire Arms.
