Booked over the phone…birthday celebration for a table of four . checked at the time of booking that the Sunday special was still available as stated on their website at £13.90 and still visible on there today by the way ! Arrived to be told that they would not honour the deal in a rather rude and abrupt way . Instead we could have the so called banquet at £16.90 with a very small plate of starters between us minus the Persian salad . The rest of the food was below average at best . My biggest gripe was ordering a bottle of house wine for £15 which obviously wasn’t in stock and being brought a £20 bottle with no explanation and being charged the higher price. Used to love this place but we won’t be returning….very poor experience !

Absolutely appalling service. We were a party of 20, all pre-ordered food prior to the evening. Firstly drinks took around half an hour to arrive. Then the starters arrived but no cutlery to eat them. Following that a 45 minute wait for the mains which turned up this time with no cutlery and no plates to eat them off! So a further 10 minutes wait while the waiter gave out plates one by one and she was drying them up with a tea towel whilst handing them out. A further wait for cutlery so all the food was lukewarm at best. After finally deciding to head for the door and pay on the way out another 20 minute debacle trying to sort out the bill. The food was average at best, beer ok. Dim lighting making it difficult to see. Overall a terrible restaurant experience.

Absolutely terrible service once again from this restaurant, we rang up to order a takeaway was told we will ring you back in 2 mins 20 mins later no return call so I ring again to be told again we will ring you back. 10 mins later I get a call from a random mobile number asking what we want to order, I place the order and get told to will be ready at 540pm. We turn up at 540pm big queue takes 15 mins to be seen only to be told they don’t have an order and it will be a further 20 mins, we walk out because this isn’t acceptable. I rang to make a complaint and some idiot that works there answer the phone with “hello yes” not “welcome to purple pakora how can I help you” !! Tried to complain but get absolutely nothing back not even a sorry !! Shocking service from this place I will never ever give any purple pakora branch my money again !!

Booked a table for 17 people weeks prior. Turned up - no booking despite having having an email confirmation from them. They seated us at separate tables. They also didn't have our preorder. Two hours later food was eventually served (would have been nice of them to mention that it was going to be a bit of a wait). Got to say food was good. Went to pay, chaos! Didn't have a clue! When questioned what had gone wrong, they said something about a broken generator the night before and they weren't planning on opening. We hadn't received any communication from them about this - hmmn. Basically a poor excuse for their cock-up!

Ordered food .arrived 1 hour late. Food cold and soggy had to bin it .restaurant would not refund any money. No apology.would not deal with this cowboy outfit ever again and will make it my priority to tell everyone I meet.

Cold restaurant,cold meal terrible staff. Been here been before but won’t be going again,who wants to eat a cold meal in a cold restaurant on a winters night

I am a regular customer and ordered my usual meal selections for our Sunday 09/10 supper. The chicken Jalfrezi had 3 - yes 3 - pieces of chicken in it and the rest was a little 'watery'. Restaurant was very quiet and one wonders if they were clawing back profit by excluding 30% of the expensive ingredients to make up the shortfall. Lots of apologies when rang to complain but it was noticable that there was little surprise in the voice and the usual 'oh we'll give you a plate of chicken the next time you come in'....Hopefully this is an isolated instance but owners (if this process wasn't done under instruction) need to resolve as someone - if not them - is making a little extra profit.... We will revert to the excellent alternative E of I in Marple - it may be furthur but has always been perfect. It does seem from other reviews there are issues to resolve...

Nightmare I already waiting 2h after one hour I was told it's on the way I wait another hour give a call and again I was told it's on the way, I told them that I was told the same one hour ago and I'm not satisfied with it I was told to "F off " it's the worst take away experience I've ever had 2 hours gone and still no food and I was treated with F words completely unprofessional behaviour

We have been going to the Purple Pakora ever since it opened. It used to be superb. Tonight we ordered a takeaway. It was 20 mins late. The so called chicken tikka bhuna bore no resemblance to any bhuna we’ve ever had. The sauce was thin and watery. So disappointing. We will not be going back

Spent over £60 and did not get what was ordered …… they would not deliver the balance and did not care less …… I would never order from them again and advise anyone else to steer clear

Absolutely shocking delivery service with Uber Eats. Our food has been out on the road for half an hour, is over an hour late, and no one knows where the driver is, or cares. It was a birthday meal treat from one of my daughters.The food in the past has been great, but their delivery service is now none existent. No tea for us, and I wouldn't rely on them ever again.Will find a restaurant with people who care about a 40 pound meal in future. Disgraceful.
