Just had the worst fish and chips ever, the batter on the fish was like rubber, try cooking it a bit longer. When I ask for lightly batted fish please try and make it lightly batted. As for the chips again not cooked through very mushy, the only good thing was the curry sauce. Never again for us I'm afraid.

Other visitor's stated they were not hungry but could not resist buying their good food. I only had a fantastic pie and chips. I wish they had not microwaved the pie. But they were so busy and tun off their feet. Still enjoyed every bite. Will try a Chinese next time I pass.Parking: Parking right outside as well.

Rang up this place and asked for 3 golden apples. Said would cost 1 pound and after I asked could I pay card all went wrong. Service was ridiculous and agressive. Food is nice in general. Great curry sauce and great chips. The only problem for me is the service and atmosphere. Atmosphere was a little bit dead but this may change in the future.

The world's worst chippy in Manchester not Stretford! Manchester attitude on the owner(s)She's rude ! The chippy food is hanging I gave it to the bin ! Please stay away I don't want to step foot in there for a refund or exchange for fresh food they wouldn't no how to cook good food absolutely need closing down.Hope Trading Standards shut the gaff down .

One of my favourite local take outs. We all enjoyed our meals and my daughter absolutely loves the fried noodles. Sometimes I order that to add to stir frys, makes all the difference!

I visit Golden Apple regularly as the food is always consistently good. Stretford has lots of Chinese takeaways but this is my favourite having tried them all. Their hand cut chips are so good. A nice change from the usual frozen one's you get most places. Curry sauce is great and they will make any dish vegan on request. My partner is Chinese and she loves the food here also! She loves the duck and black bean sauce.

I ordered pudding chips and gravy today around 7:00 today chips and pudding was put in the tray I noticed no steam came out of the where the are cooked the man walked in to the back of the shop and I immediately heard the noise of a microwave shortly followed with a beep beep beep I question when staff appeared from the back that has my food been microwaved which the applied no I asked what the beep beep beep was an the women said it was the till as her son had lost the key I replied a till doesn't make that noise (no its all fresh) I left short walk home to finding pudding raw ? returned to the shop to ask for a refund to be verbally shouted at I questioned if it had been microwaved and the woman frustrated unplugged a electric cooker out the back and insisted that it was this that beeped as so I replied if that did beep why didn't you say that at the start as the man took tray of puddings out the steamer with a cloud of steem and said see there all fresh ? lol so disrespectful shouting in front of other customers all to make a couple of £ don't cook no make no abuse what you wouldn't eat you self good riddance can't wait for chipper to change hands!!!!

Worse food ever. Do not eat food from here. Salt and pepper squid was mushy cold soggy and greasy and the batter was too thick and under cooked. A congealed mess in a tray. The salt and pepper chips mega salty greasy and cold. £12.80 down the drain. I normally always go to Silver Palace but they are closed on a Tuesday. CANNOT RECCOMENDGOLDEN APPLE TO ANYONE. YOU NEED TO UP YOUR GAME OR CLOSE..SHOCKINGLY BAD.
